Obama vows to make Texas a battleground state

Speaking to supporters in Texas today, President Obama vowed that he would make Texas a battleground state.

“You know, you’re not considered one of the battleground states,” he said, speaking in front of the Texas state flag. “Although that’s going to be changing soon.”

During the speech, Obama criticized Romney’s support of the Arizona immigration law and promoted his own immigration policy for young illegal immigrants.

February, 2001
In an SEC filing, Romney lists his "principal occupation" as "managing director of Bain Capital." Documents submitted to the SEC in May identify Romney as a "member of the management committee" of two other Bain entities.
August 21, 2001
Leaving for real this time: The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Romney gives up "control over all of Bain Capital’s voting stock, dividing the shares between the two dozen directors.
2002
Later this year, when it becomes clear he will enter politics rather than return immediately to the private sector, Romney and Bain finalize his severance package.
December, 2002
One month after Romney defeats Democrat Shannon O'Brien to become Massachusetts' governor-elect, Bain files an annual report with the state listing Romney as a managing member of the firm.
May 27, 2003
Romney files a financial disclosure form claiming 100 percent ownership in Bain Capital for the previous years, and six-figure compensation from the company in 2001 and 2002.

Sorry, Care2 is misbehaving and these two posts are out of order.
This one should have come first.
February 11, 1999
Romney announces his departure from Bain Capital to run the Salt Lake City Olympics. According to Bain Capital and the Romney campaign, this marks the drop-dead point.
March 25, 1999
More than a month after Romney claims to have retired from the company, new filings with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) indicate that he is still the sole shareholder and president.
November, 1999
Documents filed with the SEC state that Romney has "voting and dispositive power" as CEO of Bain.
January 3, 2000
An SEC document signed by Romney states: “W. Mitt Romney is principally engaged in the business of serving as sole stockholder of BCI VI, Inc. (Bain Capital Investors VI).” Another SEC filing seven months later identifies him as "managing director of Bain Capital."
November 11, 2000
Ann Romney tells the Boston Globe that Bain has absorbed almost all of her husband's time.
December, 2000
Bain Capital makes one of its most controversial acquisitions, paying $300 million for KB Toys, most of it borrowed. It is likely that the payout from this action is recorded in Romney tax filings even if it isn’t listed as income from Bain, by our retroactively non-functioning CEO.

Right over your head. That's what happens with a so called intellectual, all from books rather than a born intellect. How sad.

That is a pure mis-characterization. It didn't over Kit's head at all.
We all got it. And for some it is probably true. Voting in that way is what it is. It reeks of desperation based on lies and distortions coming from the echo chamber and the radical right. It speaks of racism however.

If President Obama had not provided the required information, that is being required of Mitt is Unfit, and rightfully so, there'd be impeachment papers already on the table signed sealed and delivered.

My eyes go all whirly dirly when it comes to this Klown and those who support him..for lack of a better rightwing candidate no doubt. If their choices aren't out right Guano Crazy they're as currupt as they come ...but the crazies out there keep their sheeple support going for him all the same. Their 'koolaid' has gone viral it seems..

iN my opinion....You are so WRONG WONG..on all levels. Born intellect ? Animal instinct/survival mode perhaps..but nothing better than education if one wants their intellect to ;stand the test of time'...and it's painfully clear to me that those who support Mitt have little if any education intellect much less be able to stand the test of time based on their 'born intellect'. As for that 'born intellect' when applied to current day political scene..well that's just funny as well as sounding teabagger crazy to me.

pseudo-intellectual

A pseudo-intellectual is someone who is too stupid to realize they are a pseudo-intellectual. This person is well armed with defense mechanisms, is extremely caustic and passive aggressive in the interest of protecting and preserving their delusions of grandeur.
