The FBI probed a late-night swim in the Sea of Galilee that involved drinking, numerous GOP freshmen lawmakers, top leadership staff and one nude member of Congress, according to more than a dozen sources, including eyewitnesses.

During a fact-finding congressional trip to the Holy Land last summer, Rep. Kevin Yoder (R-Kan.) took off his clothes and jumped into the sea, joining a number of members, their families and GOP staff during a night out in Israel, the sources told POLITICO. Other participants, including the daughter of another congressman, swam fully clothed while some lawmakers partially disrobed. More than 20 people took part in the late-night dip in the sea, according to sources who were participants in the trip.

More photo at Visit Site - fortunately none of them nude.

The title alone is just too funny. The FBI probed nude Congressmen? Really that was the best they could do for title?

Though had this been a group of democrats, I'm sure something could have directed the verbal images toward even more lewd or lascivious suggestions.

I think it made the point stand out, as to the facts about their night out. Not sure what is funnier..the title or the story. Maybe they thought it was holy water so going nude would be the holier thing to do ?

Well alls I can say now is ...Party on folks...while the rest of us try and figure out how to get the U.S. back on track after the train wreck of 2000 thru 2008 almost took our nation completely over the edge of the clift.
Speak'n of nude swim'n Kit, being a Texan and all, have ya'l been to "Hippy Hollow' just above Austin Texas on Lake Travis? Beautiful water and ...out-standing views...or so we've been told .[wink wink nod nod ]..:-)

Been there Jae. Though we had a nice swim hole up in Helotes, off the beaten path, few seemed to know about it, spring feed artisan well. Strange thing about that, we actually wore bathing suits, and didn't drink. Guess the water just wasn't "holy" enough to make us strip down and get drunk before diving in.

I keep wondering if those FBI probes are painful.

"FBI Probed GOP" ......Think this one should be sent to David Letterman !

Ya think it was consensual and who paid for these probes ? ...and where did this take place I wonder. So many details left untold.....More of that GOP obstructionist thing I guess.

I read elsewhere that the FBI did NOT investigate this incident. It does seem somewhat out of their jurisdiction.

Frankly, this doesn't bother me. I think more people, especially those in government, should go skinny-dipping.

Not cool but I agree with Roger. Both parties have some pretty awful things going on that really don't matter. We need JOBS

Sure go skinny-dipping, but do try to remember you represent the United States when in another country. Are these not the same people who are ever so willing to point fingers at a woman who might do the same, get raped and then it's her fault? Let the FBI - PROBE AWAY, these are not just US citizens, these are Congressional representatives, the FBI is fully within it's jurisdiction.

These type of things are distractions. Obama can't run on his record so DNC sends out their daily deflections.

Ummmm...So then why even bother with something that is purely a deflection? I have to wonder why Yoder and a few of the others even bothered with making apologies for their behavior if it's all just a deflection. I guess Akin's "foot in mouth" is also nothing but distractions and deflections?
