Children -- no matter where they live -- must be kept safe from gun violence. The United Nations is preparing to finalize a treaty that would help to do just that by helping to stem the flow of weapons to human rights abusers. *Please sign petition!

Petition letter available at VISIT SITE -- Please read and sign!

Children -- no matter where they live -- must be kept safe from gun violence. The United Nations is preparing to finalize a treaty that would help to do just that by helping to stem the flow of weapons to human rights abusers. The National Rifle Association (NRA) leadership is standing in the way of these efforts by waging a campaign of misinformation and lies to force the U.S. government to oppose the treaty.

Around the globe, over a billion children live in countries impacted by armed conflict that is fueled by small arms and conventional weapons.

These children are at grave risk of being abducted and trafficked, used as soldiers and sex slaves, forced from their homes, attacked at school.

Two-thirds of the world's countries want to end this carnage by strengthening the regulation of the global arms trade.
Itís time to stop the NRA from interfering in U.S. foreign policy. The lives of millions of children depend on it.

Message Recipients:
Wayne LaPierre - Executive Vice President - NRA

Signed.

Absolutely Jim, stronger international and national regulations that are ENFORCED. It burns me that the NRA stands in the way of this and by so doing, in my mind, has become the murderer of children around the globe --- the child soldiers --- as well as women and men.

Noted, Signed & Shared! I hope that the United Nations can save many lives that are now being destroyed every minute by finalizing this treaty and stopping the NRA's impediment to saving the lives of children and so many others! It is hard to conceive that they would try to stop regulation of the international arms trade when so many innocent children and civilians are being killed by thugs, human rights abusers, terrorists, and corrupt governments! I donít know how Mr. Wayne LaPierre and his gun loving cronies can sleep at night with all that blood on their hands and the ghosts of so many lives already lost through gratuitous gun violence haunting them!

The key word in regulating the arms is "ENFORCED".

There is an organization that is already in place and could be trained to "enforce"
new international and stronger regulations on arm: The U. N. troops.

If there are other organizations that could enforce, please list them.

Very ignorant. What needs to be it a populations right to be able to fight oppressors. Many places who were small tribes of rural nations are being destroyed by conquest. The UN keeps these peoples from access the modern weapons.
It is the UN that wants defenseless to stay that way and accept their conquerors. Because it is not nations but religious the UN does nothing. Converts by the sword are fine by the UN.
