Image: New Orleans Super dome
or Naurleans to you Yankees.

he smell of chicken wings and seven-layer dip fills the air. The carbonated whisper of beer cans opening in unison tickles your ears. Somewhere, Jackie Harbaugh is wondering which of her sons she will love more at the end of the night. It is Super Bowl Sunday, and the game is about to begin!

Just kidding! It is only Thursday, and all that we have to satiate our football hunger is a humble grouping of Super Bowl ad previews.

So join me in watching them, and pretending ó if just for a moment ó that itís the big day and the working week is just a distant memory.

Please go to VISIT SITE for a glimpse of the Super Bows Ads at approximately 4 million dollars for a 30 second flash at the public.

Tacos, nachos, dips and chips - Sunday is no day for diets, pop a beer, stuff your mouth and enjoy the excesses of the last day of football extravaganza. I'm wishing for an early and exciting year for next season.

Oh, how I would love to be in New Orleans tomorrow---------I love football----and I do think the Ravens will take this one-----but it seems as if the Super Bowl rarely lives up to its hype------. I did miss seeing one of my beloved Budweiser Clydesdales Commercials-------I love those gently giants. Noted with thanks Kit.

OK--I'm an ardent feminist and none of these ads ''offends'' me....they're made to appeal to football fans--MOST OF WHOM are MEN! Men like to look at pretty women and yes, the blonde woman (forgot her name) is very pretty. I'm seeing more flapdoodle about these ads than they're worth, IMHO.

Did anyone get excited and OUTRAGED seeing little Betty White ''knocked down'' in the "you're not yourself when you're hungry" ads? NO! Of course not---it's an AD and it's FUNNY...or at least, that's the intent.

Like Gypsy...I miss the Bud ads....but I think the new owners of Budweiser have cancelled the frogs and the Clydesdales forever.

Already saw this...and I am not into this sport but will perhaps watch some on TV (there will probably be no choice anyway) Way too much beer advertisement as I saw in other videos, but welcomed the ads for our AUDI and MERCEDES LOL :-))

Planning on seeing the Ravens 'work it'. We'll see. The 49's are good too. Half of the family for Baltimore, and the rest are seeing glory for the 49's. I love watching the commercials too. Thanks, Kit for this one.

I'm not hoping for a great game, but it is football and I do love the game. I flipped a coin and am going with the Ravens, the 49ers have never been the same since the glory days of Joe Montana. I plan on switching back and forth between the Super bowl and the Puppy Bowl. I think of myself as a feminist, and no the ads are offensive. With a little luck a few will be funny. Beyonce should be a knock out for half-time.

Sometimes the commercials are the best part. My team is out so I'm going with the Ravens.

$4 million for 30 seconds - can't help but think what that money might do in other more productive ways - how many commercials must there be in a four hour game? Ok, I know - you don't mess with Super Bowl Sunday.
But....

Yep, an American institution, the Super Bowl. Though I just read an article about how many are trying to guess which team is god's team. I flipped a coin, probably about as accurate as god would be. That is unless she inserts undue influence. That's just cheating.

I know which is America's Team, hell they used to win Super Bowls - on their own merit *sigh*....

thanks, very interesting...haven't watched a Super Bowl in years...in fact, don't watch TV but rarely.....might listen on radio.......rooting for the 49ers, but the defensive back who was offensive the other days needs to learn about acceptance of all persons & the story Robert T shared about the ex-Raven was inspiring.....

Gypsy - There are still Clydesdale commercials! In fact, the commercial with the Clydesdale foal received a round of applause from us! ("us" refers to the 70-100 Ravens fans who meet for every game at our Ravens pub here in Bradenton, FL) Didn't sleep much last night, but it was worth it! Congratulations Baltimore, fans, Joe Flacco (MVP), all the Ravens players, and a special thank you to Ray Lewis! I've been on cloud 9 for 2 weeks and I'm still there! Thank you, Ravens!
