Please go to VISIT SITE to see the protest gatherings and short videos, plus numerous tweets with pictures of rallies around the world.

Yesterday was NOT just a hapless attempt for attention, it was a visceral out pouring of frustration by the people who have had enough.

It is time to put an end to rule of greedy corporations and corrupt governments around the world. This means that the world may live in peace, equality, love, solidarity and justice. Am I dreaming ? Hope I am because every good thing starts with a dream. Thanks Kit for posting this story. Green star is not enough.

Perhaps with an election without Norquist and the key TP defeats yesterday the voices of the people will begin being heard and heeded again.

There was definitely not enough coverage but the governments always render the news. But you only have to move to outer obscure news outlets to get the real scoop

The Robber Barons HAVE TO GO! A system where the top 1 to 5 percent have all the wealth will not work.I have nothing against being well off but I have a lot against pure greed at the expense of the poor.

I am so glad I was part of the many who around the world went outside with a sign and Stood for something. I look at the signs of the various people in these photos and the message is what we have been stating here on C2 so is good to see that these same messages are multiplying over and over again.

Actually they had so many desperate groups protesting you have to wonder what is was all about, and a million globally is a pretty damn low turnout Shirley S.

Then enjoy your blessings John, there are many around the world who are not in same situation. Low turnout it may be, depends on whose standards and how you look at it. Considering that people tend to get beaten, pepper sprayed, protests outlawed, others having to be working from sun up to down just to eat, costs financially are too high to get to big cities, age, health, not everyone can join in. Besides, these photos cover the large cities that not everyone could get too, around the world in smaller hamlets people also stood adding their voice.

"Small participation" is a phrase used by the 1% to deny coverage. "Lack of focus ("you have to wonder what it was all about")" is used by the 1% to avoid having to face that they are guilty of thousands of crimes (thousands each - probably in the billions if added up). The same false statements were made falsely of Occupy. Claiming failure to understand is a confession of guilt.
