Increasing the fuel economy of our nation's vehicles is vital to addressing rising gas prices and the health and environmental risks of unchecked global warming. But for transportation to truly become a climate solution, we must also reduce.......

Signed and noted, thx Tim! I personally never thought that taking food from our mouths to put in a gas tank while 25,000/day are starving in the world was a smart, sustainable solution to this environmental thing! I'm sure some sustainable ethanol could be useful, but it would be nice if they would let out these hydrogyn and water base fuel vehicles into the market already. BIG OIL is wounded but still has a strong right hook , unfortunately, lol.We will knock them out yet!!!!!!

First of all I dont see any thing green about a internal cumbustion engine. That can never be accomplished. Ever! But I am for acheiving better fuel milage on these vehicles, and reducing emmisions also. I believe we should concentrate in this direction but not solely. I believe a much bigger effort sould be taking place in the area fo alternative energy. It seems every one wants to put that subject at the end of the line, or else leave it forgotten. I dont think we have that much time left for a sensible position to concentrate on fossil fuels for any kind of future at all. Perhaps that wont come to light in my life time. But for those in our families ahead, I think it should be appreciated. Damned that oil and any thing connected to it. Its dirty in every sense of the word.

Ah but I do want to be around for the legalization of Cannibas, and all of its uses. But thats another story. Thanks Tim.

Many thanks to all!

We could never "grow" our way out
of the fuel crisis we're in. It's not
possible.

Think of this:
To date, $800 billion has been wasted on
Afghanistan/Iraq. Imagine if that same money
(and the last 5 years since the invasions/occupations
began) had been spent on a "Manhattan Project" type
of program to find a clean, alternative and sustainable
souce of energy. I say we'd have the answer by now,
and it would have revolutionised the world.
But, no. Bushco is more concerned with
killing people and breaking things, being
a tyrant, a mass-murderer and a war criminal.

Thanks again to everyone!
My friends ROCK!

btw, Orlin?
Yeah, legalising Cannabis IS another post.
You'll be seeing it soon,
count on it!
I, too, want to be here to see
that day, but I'd say there's
a snowball's chance in hell of
that happening.

Another brilliant news article Tim, you're rollin' now bro! ;)
Thanx for the link, action taken. Let's hope the development of algae for fuel is taken more serious now. It makes better sense than using food crops to make gas, unless it's intestinal!
Feed the world with food crops, not hungry SUVs!
