Just after the New Year, a Philadelphia horseman climbed into the driver's seat of his powerful rig and went in search of at-risk horses in need of a ride to safety, and in doing so, began a personal quest to "do good" in life.

We are constantly bombarded with negative news stories from multiple sources and it can make you a little cynical but then you read a story like this and it helps restore your faith in the goodness of people. Thank you so much Jill.

Lovely to hear such positive news - thanks Jill! I do hope however that someone will invent/make popular some kind of safe hormone for horses so that they don't inevitably come into season each year - I want every beautiful horse to be wanted and to have a loving and safe home!

“This is my little way of stepping in and helping with something that is near and dear to me,” he says. “I love my horses, and I think it’s abhorrent that people eat horsemeat. Or for that matter any flesh from any animals. Their lives are as treasured as ours is to us! Respect & protect all lives, it is a gift to every being from God! Thanks Jill.

I wish these stories outnumbered the bad ones 100-1 instead of the other way around.
