Thanks for posting Kathy! We just need to look into our hearts & know that killing a being is wrong so wrong as life is a gift from God to every being! There is enough food choices without animals flesh! They should never be our food! Compassion for other beings is Peace on earth if we so choose as when we know different then we do as we treasure our own life! These animal suffer because of the choices we make every day!

Kathy as Mahatma Gandhi said: " Truth alone is triumph" ... if only the human race would realize this and allow the Oneness inherently interconnected in all living things,to bring harmony and peace in our world.
God, Creator, Universe let us dwell together in mutual respect and understanding never to take the life of another being but rather to honor the life it has been given, just as we honor our own.
Thank you Kathy for this.

Noted...I think God just has to reboot us Humans, then we'd be fixed, and nothing would have to kill or be killed anymore...I would sure love to live in that World, instead of the one we're living in now...And it doesn't have to be this way...It's so simple, yet, ir's so hard, very frustrating...

Thank you for posting this here, and like Michael, I am endlesssly baffled by the failure of the human heart. For me, this is an issue of much food for thought. I think for one, because I think endlessly on it - but for one, I think we think we are like little gods, seperate from nature, seperate from each other, and in that there can be no love, no compassion. The human species is a big heartbreak to me. On and on we go committing the same crimes of horror for centuries, never learning, never reflecting....And while there are those who see and feel - simply put - and speak out - the masses seem so deaf and unwillingly. I don't know ! But I am so grateful to be among people here and retain hope - how futile it seems ! that the community of compassion grows.

So many beautiful words from you all, thank you.
Constance brings up a great point. What is it about the human race that we do not learn from our mistakes? Why do so many turn a blind eye and make excuses for such barbaric behavior?

Thank you for directing us to the video Kathy. The man in the video was correct, we each have to want to change our attitude from within and care for all life if we are to live in peace with ourselves and the world. God's Spirit is within each man and woman on this earth and we are actually on this earth to find and use our Faith.

Thanks for the post Kathy and Henriette for the fwd. We do indeed have choices, but it seems humans don't love enough, learn from mistakes and without those components..humanity and compassion are gone.

Compassion for all is so important. ty. Lack of compassion is difficult to understand. Some people are quite selfish these days.

(Some of the images may be upsetting to some, by the way.)

Thanks Kathy, I have battled with this for years why some people have no compassion when others are fighting to change the world and it always seems that the one with compassion are lost in a world that does not understand them, The humans are always doomed to repeat the same mistakes they never seem to learn from them which leaves us with the same results destroying our planet and everything on it, Until people extends the circle of compassion to all living things we will never find peace.

Thanks Kathy for the green star. The Arabic words are quoted from the holly Quran and it simply means that it is a sin to kill. Almost the same meaning of the words posted in the first comment on this story .

Thank you for the video. I'm a long-time vegetarian, and have raised my children that way. Living in a small, conservative community, my kids have suffered endless bullying in school over not eating meat! I love to show them evidence that we are not alone in our ethical and spiritual reasons for choosing our food the way we do.

Thank you Linda Rust, I am hard core animal rights in Indiana. I KNOW what you are talking about. But the issue of vegetarian & vegan has become popular. We need to eliminate monsanto from the picture but your life style of Vegetarian living is much more healthy. I wish I could send my 11 year old granddaughter to your kids school. THAT child would educate the bullies. She is so smart and quick witted too. She (along with the permission of her teachers) was allowed to put up signs in one hallway and hold her own little protest to try to save the two oxen Bill & Lou at her school. Quick as a whip she was able to answer all questions. The children of today must be the voice of the animals of tomorrow. Thank you and tell your children how proud we all here at care2 & the animal rights community are of them:)
