"Do you know that terrible feeling you get when someone you care about is viciously attacked for something they haven't done? I got that feeling when I heard the outrageous charges against amazing and courageous people like Alice Walker, Noam Chomsky..."

Done Carole. Thanks.
Yes those shades appear to be re-emerging. I'm beginning to think the medieval thinking that we have associated with Islam is really coming to the fore in the U.S. these days.
I guess we should be careful what we wish for.

Faith I feel the same about Israeli's..and I totally support it's right to exist .in a non-racist fashion (alongside an independent ,free Palestine).I also feel the same about American's..bad governments ..great people.
As for Naomi Klein...I think i'm in love with her.

Ah, I see Jane Fonda was on the list, it figures the Reich-wingers would be smearing all of them then.. I signed. Even ex-Pres. Jimmy Carter has said repeatedly that the Palestinians need a homeland - but nobody listens to Nobel Prize-winners who are (gasp) Democrats!;)

Signed Just C. Generally receive the Jewish Voice For Peace in my e-mail in-box, but this time they didn't notify me of what was going on in Canada. Usually it is about Israel and the ongoing struggle for the Palestinians to be left alone, and live in peace without the threat of attacks from Israel.
Well, anyway I signed the petition. Thanks for sending me the link.

Just signed it, there are now over 8900 signatures, let's get this spread around to more people, there should be many more than that amount.

Peace,
