This may be the gate. Once opened (if accepted for human consumption and I am sure the GM lobby will make it happen) there may not be any food unaltered! We must push for a label so we can keep from supporting this.

Now is the time to send your letters to the FDA advising them that you would not want these items in the stores, on restaurant menus, or anywhere! Have your neighbors sign along with you!

Thank you, Julie.

In Australia on one of the breakfast shows we had a gentleman informing us how they were also going to start putting "frakenlamb, pork and frankenbeef" in our stores within the next 2 years! GET REAL!
When questioned if it would be labelled as such, the gentleman said "Most likely NOT!"
The TV show then went "out on the street" and asked the public what they thought....99% said they would NOT eat it if it was labelled as GM!"
As we all have known for a LONG time...Big brother literally would try and shove anything down our throat!

Corporations have turned eating into entertainment and other ridiculous rituals. Eating is a necessity therefore, spending billions of dollars on advertisements and wasting resources on convincing us what and where too eat is all a waste of time. Our resources are better spent on developing a perfect food that meets all our daily requirements. I believe these foods were developed years ago however, corporations make far more money making us fat, sick, etc and selling us the products required to counter react their ill effects.

Now they intend to screw with the DNA of our foods without even knowing what long term ill effects they may have. This corporation spent 14 years and 50 million dollars developing this fish and not a penny to determine the effects on humans that consume their product. Once again this only proves our government agencies are working for the corporations and not the people.

Thanks for this important information which I am sharing with my networks. Will they leave anything within the natural food chain untarnished?

GM/GE foods are shown to have damaging effects on organs ~cancers~sterility~
they deny it~their tests are done within their own company
Not from an unbiased source
Monsanto~ DuPont~ Dow Chemical~ Bayer Crop, are all pushing for the same
all have a foot in politics for control to push their agenda

Great post Julie, you have indeed been busy all night making many posts. There are some really good comments here: As Tippers says this is really a threat to our health. It is also a threat to our precious nature. And it will not generate more food. All that money used to develop this artificial fish could have been better used feeding our 1 billion hungry people real food stuff. As Robert C. says food corporations indeed see our nutrition as being mere entertainment on which they want to earn profit, rather than giving us what our bodies need. And as Ness says, people do not want to eat that stuff. Thus, we must press for labeling as Kris B. says, by writing to FDA as Gail says. Moreover, we can find alternative adequate nutrients to replace meat and fish as Magdalena says. I only want to add that disobedience is also an option. Are you aware how powerful people are when they stand together. No army can take down the people. Thus, by informing we may be able to gather people. Regarding disobedience let me quote some of my favorites: Mohandas K. Gandhi said, “In my humble opinion, non-cooperation with evil is as much a duty as is cooperation with good.” and the South African writer and poet N. P. van Wyk Louw said, “Revolt is just as necessary to a nation as loyalty. There is no danger when a rebellion fails; what is dangerous is that a whole generation may go by without protesting.”

I had a nightmare : by eating those GMOs, don't you think one day we'll also become genetically modified ?
I can easily imagine the salmon farmers of the International Salmon Farmers Association getting furious and fit to be tied by such crazy dealings. I'm not sure the GMO salmons will NOT mix with the "normal" species, which will be eaten by sharks, which will become "enormous" ! Ah, ah ! This is really Frankenstein !
I hope those GMO salmons won't be sold in Europe! If this had to happen, fortunately the EU food labelling will warn us of any GMO product. But what about the U.S. ? Better thing to do, is to stop that kind of farms and their crazy ideas. You have the power, don't let the government or the corporations decide for you !

GMO's are terrifying. Pesticides, steroids and processing are bad enough. We need to really do a mass education campaign because GM sounds so innocent - almost like GENERAL MOTORS. Thanks for this post.
