Hilke, the cruelties practiced in China are nothing short of an abomination. This is an excellent video in that there are no graphic images but it gets its point across all the same. I'll be sharing this with my readers and thank you for bringing this to all of our attention. Its a tough subject but unless people realize it, nothing will ever be done about it.

Noted with a heavy heart. Where is the compassion in China? Have they got no hearts? My opinion is that the atheletes should boycott the Olympics otherwise they will have blood on their hands. I have signed every petition and it is soo frustrating, it makes me so sad for these animals who suffer at the hands of man. Man is the cruelest of all animals.

Let me assure all readers I feel just as repulsed as all of you, and just as anxious to see Asian animal torture and consumption end, but I experience the ignorance of animal torture in the west every day... in my grocery store. May I impress upon you all, even though the end product is clean and neat, the path there is no LESS ugly! It is only very tightly hidden!
Until we can stop our own animal torture and consumption, and statistics prove we (in the west) are the biggest torturers and consumers of animals, the Chinese government is free to ignore our pleas and point their finger right back at us... and that does NOT help our cause.
Some of you wonder with disgust, and rightly so, why more people are interested in whether Obama's new dog comes from a shelter... wouldn't it truly be CHANGE if Barrack could brag to the world that America was finally innocent of ALL animal consumption and its associated cruelty?
In peace, I plead to you all to speak LOUDLY for ALL animals... by simply practicing a totally compassionate Vegan lifestyle.

Couldn't bear to watch or listen to the video, have seen too many, have a hard time sleeping at night because of the images of the suffering. I have signed every petition in regards to China & have sent letters. I will boycott the Olympics & anything that has to do with China. Still cannot understand how Pres. Bush can attend the opening ceremony at the Olympics as the leader of the United States by his attending it is saying he condones what they do, he will not condone what other countries do to their people, in my opinion he talks out of two sides of his mouth. Could it be because we owe China so much money that he'd rather put blindfolds on? It is a barbaric country. Heartbreaking to know this goes on in the 21st century.

I couldn't go there but in my mind I know what it is and my heart is breaking into right now so bad that I'm in tears. This has got to stop some how!!! How cruel and inhumane can you get people close there eyes to these people!!! I will we would pull out all of our imports and expotrs to them and be done with them for good. With us doing business with them is like saying yes to them to do this. America how discuissed with you I'm Pull out of these inhumane people!!!! I wish they would BOYCOTT US!!! With China it could be out of spite that they still do these horrific things to amuse themselves, just the ones that indulge in this type of eating and beliefs, not all chinese...just to set the record straight.

Can't watch. Have been fighting this fight since dateline showed it years ago. Started a group then, PACAS, which is still in existance and some members are still fighting the fight. Will boycott China as I have been doing.

Yes, this seems very horrible to us. But, to the Chinese, this is everyday living. It would be quite a venture to reverse this I'm afraid. Again to us, horrible to think about, I know I certainly don't, however, I'm not afraid to repeat how I feel this wrong with other people I come in contact with in everyday life, if and when the opportunity is there. I suggest you all do the same. Be the voice of change.
The olympics... who the h*ll decided this should be held in a country that seems so foul? Aren't they still communist? Didn't they invade Tibet? Don't they try to poison our children with lead? (sorry, I have to say this)... I did hear they took dog off the menu, while the olympics are present.
So much change is needed.

Yes, Lars S, while our society treats dogs as pet, part of the family, these people eat what they can. No, it is not right. But, I doubt we will change it. I will sign every petition and try all I can, but, sadly believe we are fighting a losing battle. I have to not listen to this, because I will not sleep tonight. I love animals and hate this so much. Change is needed, but will likely come very slowly.
