I read about this and the change in shipping lanes to help prevent death from collision with large ships. I certainly hope we are finally realizing how thoughtless we have been to all of the creatures of the earth.

Hopefully they are genetically sound. Also, ins some species reproduction kicks in higher gear when there is a sense of danger/death.

Wonderful! That gives me hope for the rest of the animals that are in trouble - let's hope that this is the start of a positive trend.
