Thank you for posting this very important link about Global Warming and Climate change!

It should be noted that you do not blindly copy and past entire articles. You do not quote the same articles over and over. You do not chase scientists around on Care2 arguing with them. You do not quote old pseudo articles and you do not create multiple Care2 accounts in order to maliciously attack other people!

It is now clear that the information that is being presented... is no longer 'Opinion' or being 'Disputed' by the
'Main Stream Scientific Community!'

The links your article point to are from informed, caring and educated people who have observable facts on their side!

The minority that continue to dispute this irrefutable evidence, more than likely believe in the Tooth Fairy and Santa Clause!

I did call and asked them to vote against this bill - known affectionally as the Chinese Full Emplyment Act. This bill does nothing but put the final nail in the coffin of the US economy. China is laughing all the way to the bank.
If you actually think this bill will do ANYTHING for the total world emmissions on CO2, you are delusional. All this does is cause companies with heavy manufacturing to accelerate their relocation to China, Malaysia, India, etc. etc.

The reality is that cost estimates for climate legislation are as unreliable as the models predicting climate change. What comes out of the computer is a function of what politicians type in. A better indicator might be what other countries are already experiencing. Britain's Taxpayer Alliance estimates the average family there is paying nearly $1,300 a year in green taxes for carbon-cutting programs in effect only a few years.

Americans should know that those Members who vote for this climate bill are voting for what is likely to be the biggest tax in American history. Even Democrats can't repeal that reality.

Fielding has issued a challenge to the Obama White House to rebut the data. It will be a novel experience for them, as Fielding is an engineer and has an Australian's disregard for self-important government officials. Here is how The Age described his challenge:


Senator Fielding emailed graphs that claim the globe had not warmed for a decade to Joseph Aldy, US President Barack Obama's special assistant on energy and the environment, after a meeting on Thursday.... Senator Fielding said he found that DR ALDY AND OTHER OBAMA ADMINISTRATION OFFICIALS WERE NOT INTERESTED IN DISCUSSING THE LEGITIMACY OF CLIMATE SCIENCE.

If this bill passes, it turns economic depression into a permanent fixture in the American ecomomy and will have no real effect on climate.

“Supporters of Waxman-Markey are now claiming it will create jobs, which is ludicrous,” said Ebell. “If that were true, why did Democrats on the Energy and Commerce Committee defeat Republican amendments to suspend Waxman-Markey if gasoline reached five dollars a gallon or electric rates doubled or unemployment topped fifteen percent? The Democratic leadership will not allow those amendments to be offered on the floor.”

Meanwhile, Democratic leaders in the House are rushing to buy off hold-outs with “free” carbon credits. “Chairman Henry Waxman (D-Beverly Hills) has given away 85% of the ration coupons to various powerful special interests in order to gain support for the bill,” said Ebell. “Some people are going to become very wealthy from cap-and-trade, but it isn’t going to be consumers.”

Thank you Robert. I have already sent many emails and made phone calls to my own Congressional Representative and a number of others over the last several months to let them know they are never going to hear the end of it if they fail to pass this bill. I made one more call to my Rep. one last time this morning since they are supposed to be voting on it today.

Judy, do you have a lot of money invested in oil? It seems likely that few if any people other than oil executives and other wealthy people who have money invested in oil would be opposed the American Clean Energy and Security Act.

Blue... As you know, Judy is not a US Citizen, she is Canadian!

FYI: Yes, this will cost US Taxpayers a lot of money. Yes, jobs will be lost. Yes, gasoline will rise above 6 dollars-per-gallon. Yes, just like the Republicans ignored the voters and passed the bailouts... so to will Democrats ignore the voters and pass health care and H. R. 2454, the American Clean Energy and Security Act. Yes, this bill will not stop Global Warming; it will not stop Climate Change; it will not stop China from dumping even more pollution into the air... Yes, not much will change!

Question: How much more will it cost us if we do nothing at all?
