Thanks Sir Robert. I, for one, am stuck in the past. I see this as an idealism that would depend on science that is altruistic. From my observations, the majority of scientific research projects are conducted for stakeholders who have something to gain economically or emotionally (ie: empire builders). Research is conducted by humans who are flawed, and as I see it, always will be. From where I stand, I can leave my mind open to hope, but hesitate to have faith in scientific research where profits are the motive.
