Israel will be compelled to execute an aerial bombardment campaign targeting Iran's nuclear production sites by December this year; unless a unified global community led by western powers can negotiate or sanction a guaranteed IAEA control deal.

Peaceful negotiations with an enormous incentives package, wrapped around the threat of a global 'Big Stick' has been aimed directly at the Mullahs to no avail.

Time is running out for those who choose to protect Israel from a major holocaust-level terrorist attack from Iran, Syria, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Hamas.

The religious reasons for their hatred against Peace, Stability, and Israel itself can be read below.

The following condensed description must be read completely through, in order to understand the current basic dilemma of the world community!

The Coming of the 12th Imam Must be Preceeded by Massive Instability, Violence and Chaos Leading Toward an Allah/Islamic Dominated World!

We must definitely pray for an immediate resolution of PEACE!!!!!!!!!

I decided to inform the public more concerning the advent of the 12th Imam, so here is a 'new' C2NN news article to note:

"The Coming of the 12th Imam: Islamic Harbinger of Apocalypse - Iranian Belief-System"

You must see for yourself the underlying chaos that could come --- another Holy War in the wings!

this is insane and needs to be stopped. Israel needs to be boycotted by the US and has been itching to start a war with Iran for some time. Make no mistake the only reason they were backed down last January along with stoppng their invasion of Gaza was because of the public outcry and how many videos got out from cell phones. Iraq was the last erroneous smoke screen wmd that Americans shouldn't have accepted thius one she should boycott and make a point

Thank you Sir Robert for the great reference, will post it here for everyone's convenience;

The 12th Imam: Why Is This Especially Important Now?
While Christians look for Jesus’ 2nd coming, the Jews await the Messiah and Muslims await the 12th Imam. However, of the three, Allah’s designated Mahdi is the only one who demands a violent path to conquer the world. Mr. Ahmadinejad, and his cabinet, say they have a ‘signed contract’ with al Mahdi in which they pledge themselves to his work. What does this work involve? In light of concerns over Iran’s nuclear capabilities, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has reportedly stated Israel should be wiped off the map. He spoke to the United Nations in September ’05. During that speech he claims to have been in an aura of light and felt a change in the atmosphere during which time no one present could blink their eyes. Iran’s PM is also said to have spoken in apocalyptic terms and seems to relish conflict with the West whom he calls the Great Satan. This is while he proclaims he must prepare the world for the coming Mahdi by way of a world totally under Muslim control. He is working hard to bring about the world-wide horrors that must be in place for their al Mahdi to bring peace.

This notion and goal, along with a violent hatred of infidels, America and Israel reminds us of Biblical prophecies of the coming anti-Christ and the pledges of millions to a deceiving False Messiah who will claim to bring peace. Could this 12th Imam Mahdi and his servant Ahmadinejad spark the last days of the coming true Savior?

The House of Rothschild bought Reuters news service in the 1800's. Within the last 20 years, Reuters bought the Associated Press. Now the Elite own the two largest wire services in the world, where most newspapers get their news. The Rothschilds have control of all three U.S. Networks, plus other aspects of the recording and mass media industry according to research by Eustice Mullins in his book 'Who Owns the TV Networks'.

And we should worry about Iran?? HaHa Look up Roths connection with Israel and all is explained...for those that can be bothered to be better informed.

Well said, Kathleen.

> "Time is running out for those who choose to protect Israel from a major holocaust-level terrorist attack from Iran, Syria, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Hamas."

What??? Where is the evidence of this? Are you just trying to whip up a war fever?

> "The Coming of the 12th Imam Must be Preceeded by Massive Instability, Violence and Chaos Leading Toward an Allah/Islamic Dominated World!"

I could say the same thing about what according to the Bible is supposed to preceed the second coming of Christ and the imposition of Christianity on the world. Ever heard of Armageddon? Many Muslims reject the references to violence in their religious doctrine, just as many Christians do. This religious doctrine has been around for centuries.

> "Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has reportedly stated Israel should be wiped off the map."

He never said this oft-repeated lie! President Ahmadinejad's statement translates to:

"The Imam said this regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time."

In the first place, he was not speaking of Israel as a nation, he was speaking of the "regime occupying Jerusalem", that is, the present government of Israel. This is also evident from the context of the speech, which was entitled "The World Without Zionism". Secondly, he did not call for anyone to be "wiped off the map", which is an English idiom having violent and destructive overtones. He called for the Zionist regime to "vanish from" or be "wiped off/away" from the "pages of time/history". He is obviously just calling for a permanent end to the present Zionist regime, something which many others around the world including Jews have called for.

Why are we getting childrens mythology from the likes of "Sir Robert" et al? It has no place in the thinking of any rational sane person. The only pertinent facts are these: Israle (which is a stae built on mythology) is bent on dominating the whole of the Middle East by ant maens possible; It can only do so because it has been given nuclear weapons by the US (in contradiction of its own Messainic crusade against weapons proliferation; (it seems that Nuclear weapons have been given to Christians and Jews for their exclusive use - a rather racist attitude on the part of God, don't you think); Nuclear weapons are an obscenity, and the beast way to prevent their proliferation is for EVERYONE to give them up; Israel is a state conceiveda nd realised by deception and theft of another peoples land - there is no historical basis for the existance of a "Jewish" state, there never was one- the region was always a collection of disparate tribes of many different religions, and Israel owes its exitance to being supported militarily and economically by the US. If it's people cannot or will not exist in harmony with the other indigeonous peoples of the region and assimilate with them. Time for these dangerous "crusades" to stop. Arab resentment is a product of Christian opression down the centuries. All myths are born out of insecurity and the need to justify greed. The perception of Muslim dominance is just such a myth, as is Christianity. Anyone can believe what they like, but not force their beliefs on others.

Apart from the incorrect statement that Israel has no right to its country - an obvious lack of fact of history is this:

In 1948, against every plea of the Jews, some six hundred thousand Arabs evacuated Israel. They did so at the urging of their political leaders. On the promise that within two weeks they would come back as victors, take over all Jewish property and do what they liked with Jewish women. Now tens of years later, the Arabs will NOT assimilate their own kind (they have plenty of space). Now they want to come back, when the land is fertile and the shops are filled, when the schools are productive and the mosques are open. it is too late. In Cyprus one can clearly see what happened when one tries to force two different peoples to live together in a majority-minority status.

The Arabs are not the original inhabitants of Israel either. They were a nomadic tribe too. This land has such a hodgepodge of 'ancestors' that few can lay claim to it. Canaanites, Phoenicians, Jews, Greeks, Romans, Christians all shared this land at some point or another. The VERY TINY state of Israel is a thorn for the Arabs. They have no intention of helping those who they displaced so many years ago. Just look at who is actually funding and supporting the Palestinian refugee camps - certainly not the Arabs! They asked their people to flee and promised them the horror of plunder upon their return. Only they had their backsides kicked in that war.

The Arabs will never stop their cries of hatred; they will never acknowledge any historical and PROVEN truths. As long as the Palestinian camps exist they have a reason to spout their propaganda. It is very sad that so many people in the world swallow this nonsense.

Israel is trapped, surrounded by war mongers. The answer is so simple. Arabs must assimilate their own kind - and lay down the sword. This will stop the Palestinian misery, create peace. Anything else is just so much hot air - the vilest propaganda ever. The third world war could very well start in Israel. Does anyone for a minute think that the world will sanction another holocaust?

And sprouting about 'Zionism' must be wiped off the face of the earth? Hah! As a country this Zionism functions very well. Compare the desolate wastes of 'Israel' then to the Israel of now. A prosperous country - where medical care and legal rights and freedom of religion is practised - yes, even the Arabs can pray freely without any persecution. Arabs in Israeli prisons have TV, have access to continued education, and have access to the Red Cross. This certainly cannot be said for Jewish prisoners in Arab countries. The religious persecution of Jews in Arab states continues with no let up in site.

The Arabs have tons of space - why in hell can't they leave Israel alone and put their own house in order????

I'm sick to death of the anti-Israel statements, of the lies, of the death wishes - all of it backed up with NO HISTORICAL FACT WHATSOEVER.

Surely, before we open our mouths to comment here in public we should know history, and if we don't we should refrain from making fools of ourselves here in public?

America has nuclear power, so does Israel. America is the only country ever to rain this death from the sky onto innocent civilians. Now every tom, dick and harry has nuclear power. It is naive to expect anyone to give it up - especially if they are under direct threat from ALL of their neighbours, and it is naive in the extreme to expect this tiny country to sit by while a neighbour prepares to wipe them off the face of the earth. A government is representative of its people - democracy ensures that. The Israeli government is selected by its people. The disingenuous statement 'only the government to be wiped out' will only be swallowed by idiots. An attack on the White House in the USA is an attack on its people, its sovereignty, likewise for any country in the world. Attempting to cloak the annihilation of Israel by only targeting its democratically elected government is the statement of a fool - we are not all uneducated rabble rousers!

If anyone was wondering about Eureka's "history" of the six hundred thousand Arabs (refugees) evacuating Israel in 1948, it is copied-and-pasted from James Michener's novel "The Source" (page 1068-). Historian Brendan Clifford says this of "The Source":

"The novel is strongly pro-Israel, and it glosses over the events of 1947-48 in line with the Israeli propaganda of those times."

The Bible And Its Consequences
http://www.atholbooks.org/magazines/cands/bible.php

I could of course produce a list of online sources on the history of Israeli massacres and human rights abuses of the Palestinians, glossed over by or postdating Michener's 1962 novel, but will decline to do so at this time in the interests of peace.

Eureka Morrison (228)

Frank, don't worry about peace. Just worry about FACT. Michener was a professor of history - and his research meticulous. He popularised history - for those who do not have the time or the means to sift through volumes of historical data. And his novel was not about the Palestinian issue, it was about the roots of the RELIGION of the Jews. I have a library of over 5000 books, the bulk of them NON-FICTION: and I’m very well read my friend – not the propaganda on the internet and other media, but of source material – cross checked by academics. Makes a nice change to the online trash one reads all the time….

Once again, you lose track of the issue here: the origins of this saga. Never mind Michener. There is not one single fact you can refute. The atrocities of today do not wipe out history - nor the intent of the Arab nations to wipe out Israel.

War de-humanises - and yes, it has certainly dehumanised both the Palestinians and the Israelis.

Again: HOW DOES IT STOP??

Arabs must cease and desist their war mongering, their threats and assimilate their own people.

Perhaps more people should read 'fictionalised' history, by reputable authors with HIGH standing in the academic community. Maybe in this way the past, the reasons, the fears and the tears of humanity can come to life and reach the hearts of all.

On a side note: compare the dispassionate non-biased work of Mitchener (including his academic teachings) with those of Leon Uris where the bias is obvious one can only have respect for the former and sympathy for the latter.

As long as we deny facts and use rhetoric to obscure same as long will this world be in a total mess. My country, South Africa is a prime example: A tragic comedy - slowly but surely following Zimbabwe's lead. Our ‘Black' townships are very, very similar to the Palestinian camps. It is more than ten years since the Apartheid government caved in, yet these camps continue, while the fat cats in government ride on the gravy train, while Black Employment Equity is the order of the day, while Blacks new in power have enormous salaries, yet their brethren are starving in the townships. Does this not sound like the Arab nations and the Palestinians? Even if I gave up my home I could only accommodate one to two families of township 'Blacks'. I sheltered Malawians during the xenophobic riots last year. The 'blacks' warred on their own kind. The Arabs are using their own kind for propaganda, i.e. the Palestinians. This is sickening and a disgrace to their religion, well to anyone's religion.

Send a voice of reason and healing to the Middle East - drop the stones, drop the hate speech, let them live in peace.

Eureka, thanks for the advice, but I will continue to worry about peace, and about the facts also.

You said "The atrocities of today do not wipe out history", as if Israeli atrocities are not an integral part of the history that the Israeli-apologist Michener glossed over. In fact, Israel was founded largely on the efforts of Zionist terrorist groups, like the Stern Gang, the Lehi, and the Irgun, who worked ceaselessly to terrorize non-Jews into leaving areas of Palestine, so that Jews could move in and take over their homes and property. Here are some sources:

Terrorism and the origins of Israel—Part 1, By Jean Shaoul

The Jewish Voice For Peace addresses the manner in which Palestinians evacuated Palestine in 1948, and discusses some of the specific claims made by Michener:

Setting the record straight: Response to historical distortions
http://www.jewishvoiceforpeace.org/publish/article_1213.shtml

Here are some sources on the historical Israeli atrocities which compelled the non-Jews to evacuate areas of Palestine; note particularly the large numbers of massacres and terrorist acts that occurred prior to 1949:

Israeli Massacres: Details and Numbers
http://www.soundofegypt.com/palestinian/adult/massacres.htm

Jewish/Israeli Massacres and Terrorism
http://guardian.150m.com/palestine/israeli-massacres.htm

Sorry, this massive and detailed data cannot simply be dismissed as "online trash".

On the subject of your home country, South Africa, we are in full agreement. I could produce forthwith a very long list of online sources backing up what you said, but it would be off topic. There are some important differences, however, between Afrikaners and Palestinians. Afrikaners did not steal any property from anyone else, nor use terrorism to drive anyone from their homes and villages. Afrikaners sought and found an uninhabited area of Africa to build a civilization upon from scratch, and have since merely defended it. South Africa did not install a powerful lobby in a foreign superpower to manipulate it into supplying them an endless stream of the most sophisticated weaponry they could use to massacre their enemies, veto U.N. resolutions against them, or get it to launch a war of aggression for them based on lies.

I do 'pray' that your country does not end up like Zimbabwe, though I know it is slowly headed that way.

By the way, I have also built up my own personal library of history books, largely of older, non-PC works.

Frank G. - "Afrikaners did not steal any property from anyone else, nor use terrorism to drive anyone from their homes and villages."

I should clarify here that I meant upon its founding. I am of course aware of the later population transfers (of debatable merit), which were designed to maintain a White national identity.

Frank, great to meet another avid history buff.

Just check why the Israelis had these so-called terrorist gangs. The British stood by and did nothing to very little to assist the Jewish settlers - and the early settlers all bought their land fair and square. That land was not stolen my friend. The SA ANC was also labelled terrorists - and look at them now: Presidents and ex-presidents of my country! The word terrorist lies in the eye of the beholder. No atrocity is every justified - I don't care who was a victim. ANC eventually targeted civilians, and the bombing and shooting of both Palestinian and Israeli civilians is simply not on either.

But there is a deadlock here - and only sanity and respect for religion and people will resolve it. As long as the Arabs continue their war mongering rhetoric as long will the Israelis be on the defensive and will go on the offensive! Do you play chess? Great game - and one is silly to believe that bluster will win the game - I learnt that in chess championships. And this is a lesson the Arabs and the world will learn at great personal cost - a third world war is checkmate - and not just for the one who receives the nuclear bomb - the resultant conflagration will engulf all of us.

OFF TOPIC - Apologies Sir Robert
===========================
By the way - as for the Afrikaners not stealing land - you are dead wrong my friend. They headed north to escape the British and walked slap bang into the African tribes, not to mention their deliberate hunting and killing of the Bushmen and the Khoisan - and the war was on - especially after they were duped and attacked when the Black tribes of Dingaan (Zulu) cheated on a land agreement. Sort of like the Balfour declaration? The twice promised land.... You bugger us around and you attack us - now we'll take the land by force. The forced removals of ‘Blacks’ and ‘Coloureds’ here in SA is a fact of history. The removal of the vote for Blacks and Coloureds is history (final blow in 1948) That is theft on a grand scale. I was an ant-apartheid activist and I don't speak here from an academic ivory tower - being 'white' was a reason for shame in those days - now being 'white' is a reason for absolute fear. But then again the world is so mad that at the end of the day one's skin colour is hardly the real reason for violence. Are we born as power mongerers?

And now we reap what we have sown. Sorry - a bit off topic, but I'm sure Sir Robert won't mind. So many of the news threads here just have a 'noted' on and some inane remark that it is quite refreshing to have a sane, if lively debate.

If you don't have these books - buy them - great reads!

Frank - your 'clarification' seems to be posted at the same time as my reply - you are wrong. The Afrikaners did wage 'terrorism' upon its founding of the Afrikaner state on the native inhabitants. This is documented in some of the literature above (see my post) and in several other of my NON-FICTION collection of history volumes. In his memoirs Churchill lied a great deal. Ditto for the Afrikaners. By the way - my dad was an Afrikaner farmer - my mom a Yugoslav. The Afrikaners is a trbe well known to me. And not all of them were rubbish either.

My sympathy for Israel is based upon the constant terror that surrounds her. The crime here in South Africa is out of control. We live in fortresses. Recently had a major shoot-out riot right here in my suburb (in front of my house) when a township close by exploded with rage and violence – spilling over…. Now if I put this into a nation perspective - i.e. Israel surrounded by Arabs determined to wipe them out - what would you do? Give up your land, and forfeit your life in the process? I think not. I would shoot back. I shot back during the anti-apartheid years and anyone who would threaten my right to the land I bought and/or was born on, not to mention my life will get a bullet between the eyes.

Just my not so humble opinion.....

Frank Gerry (47)

Eurika, I don't think there is any point in my rehashing further the history of the founding of Israel, or what justification Israel claims to have to launch an attack on Iran. I made my case in the prior comments and I stand by by it.

On the off-topic, I naturally concede some of the corrections you made; my comments on it were not written with a mind to debate this issue. Yes, whites in South Africa originally encountered nomadic Bushmen and Khoisan, and ultimately took measures to remove them. And, they did eventually encounter and have confrontations with Black tribes. However, the indigenous peoples had nothing which the Whites wished to take, and the Afrikaners for the most part avoided them, seeking in their treks uninhabited areas. The Afrikaner civilization was essentially built from scratch out of wilderness.

As an anti-apartheid activist, you feel that white South Africans now "reap what we have sown". In my opinion, you have exaggerated the harm done to blacks by whites, especially considering the opportunities whites have offered to at least some of the black majority, who had very little to begin with. A relevant question is: would South Africa have sown its present crisis if separation had been maintained? Would perhaps most whites and blacks be in better shape at this time? As it is off-topic, I will leave these questions unanswered.

Frank, you were offered some FACTUAL history it would seem your prefer hysteria - so be it. Eureka gave good factual detail about long sad and continued history in the middle east, yet you choose to play word games.

War and hate continue not only in the middle east but across the globe. Often the excuse of religious ideology is used as the proffered reasoning, the death and destruction are the same.

By the way you sound a bit racist, you may want to reread before posting.

I am sure Sir Robert is upset by now with all of this off topic discussion. South Africa was not the subject on which he made the original posting. The original posting also did not lapse into the last century. The original posting was 21st century Iran and that is what we should be discussing. Sir Robert has tried to lead the way to a true discussion of his posting twice.

In this century, the US has been misled by Israeli intelligence into the Iraq war. In this century, the US has been the target of the terrorist attacks of 9/11 which occurred primarily because of US unconditional support of the warlike Zionist regime in Israel.

In this year of this century the Zionist regime in Israel has attacked by tank and aircraft small Gaza for 23 brutal days. 50% of the population of Gaza is 16 years old or younger. How can such a group be a threat to Israel?

Certainly Iran armed with unconventional weapons could be a cause for Israeli concern. So Israel's Zionist regime is trying to lead the US into a war again. History of THIS century (staying on the original topic) shows that there were no WMD's in Iraq.

There is less reason to think that Iran is designing unconventional weapons, but the US, Israel's source of arms and protection is vulnerable to being drawn into another war by Zionist deception.

Israel has proven its brutality in Gaza in this century. Israel has proven its ability to manipulate the US in this century and that should be the topic discussion.

This century - Israel - Iran should have been he only area open to discussion under the article Sir Robert presented for us.
