You may not wish to believe that this is truly possible, but it's only a matter of time before we become personally responsible for our actions, as well as our inactions!

Re "There are many people who actually believe we are at war inside Afghanistan and Iraq, and someone flew some planes into the Pentagon and Twin Towers!"
Anyone with half a brain knows the so called wars are about oil, oil pipelines,$$$$$, AND ongoing hatred towards those who happen to live on the lands that hold those resources.
What these kind of posts do though Robert is expose exactly who supports all the killing, land grabbing, US Gov LIES, WW111, everything disgusting that dear old blood thirsty CHENEY, bushy boy and his mate blair rubbed their hands in glee over.
Since when is Aipac muslim???

False Flag operations trying to paint a whole religion as evil......who could possibly be behind that I wonder?

Who Are The Fanatics?
by Paul Craig Roberts

In America there is only one side to the issue. An entire industry has been created that is devoted to demonizing Islam.
President Jimmy Carter was demonized for pointing out in his book, Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid, that there are actually two sides to the Israeli-Palestinian issue. Distinguished American scholars, such as John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt have suffered the same fate for documenting the excessive influence the Israel Lobby has on US foreign policy.

Americans would be astonished at the criticisms in the Israeli press of the Israeli government's policies toward the Palestinians and Arabs generally. In Israel facts are still part of the discussion. If the Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, could replace Fox "News," CNN, New York Times and Washington Post, Americans would know the truth about US and Israeli policies in the Middle East and their likely consequences.

On September 1, Haaretz reported that Rabbi Eric Yoffie, the president of the Union for Reform Judaism, which represents 900 Congregations and 1.5 million Jews, "accused American media, politicians and religious groups of demonizing Islam" and turning Muslims into "satanic figures."

Rabbi Yoffie is certainly correct. In America there is only one side to the issue. An entire industry has been created that is devoted to demonizing Islam. Books abound that misrepresent Islam as the greatest possible threat to Western Civilization and seek to instill fear and hatred of Muslims in Americans. For example, Norman Podhoretz proclaims "World War IV: The Long Struggle Against Islamofascism." Daniel Pipes shrieks that "Militant Islam Reaches America." Lee Harris warns of "The Suicide of Reason: Radical Islam's Threat to the West."

Think tanks have well-funded Middle East programs, the purpose of which is to spread Islamophobia. Fear and loathing pour out of the Middle East Forum and the American Enterprise Institute.

In the US it is acceptable, even obligatory in many circles, to hate Muslims and to support violence against them. Pipes has been described as a "leading anti-Muslim hate propagandist." He is on record advocating the use of violence alone as the solution to the Muslim problem. This won him the endorsement of the Christian Coalition, AIPAC, and the Zionist Organization of America for appointment to the board of the United States Institute of Peace. President George Bush used a recess appointment to appoint this man of violence to the Institute of Peace.

Pipes advocates that the Muslims be beaten into submission by force, the view that has guided the Bush administration. To brainwashed and propagandized Americans, the Pipes appointment made perfect sense.

Podhoretz believes that Islam has no right to exist, because it is opposed to Israeli territorial expansion, and that America must deracinate Islam, which means to tear Islam up by the roots.

While neoconservatives, Christian Zionists, and the Bush administration embrace unbridled violence against Muslims, Lee Harris warns that America is much too tolerant and reasonable to be able to defend itself against Muslim fanaticism. America's "governing philosophy based on reason, tolerance, consensus and deliberation cannot defend itself against a [Muslim] strategy of ruthless violence."

Islamophobia overflows with such absurdities and contradictions. Harris tells us that the Enlightenment overcame fanatical thinking in the West, leaving the West unfamiliar with fanaticism and helpless to confront it. Harris, who fancies himself an authority on fanaticism, is deaf, dumb, and blind to Communism and National Socialism and is completely ignorant of the fact that neoconservative fanatics are the direct heirs of the Jacobins of the French Revolution, itself a fanatical product of the Enlightenment.

If Americans did rely on reason, tolerance and deliberation, they might free their minds of shrill propaganda long enough to consider the "Muslim threat." Muslims are disunited. Their disunity makes them a threat to one another, not to the West.

In Iraq most of the fighting and violence is between Sunni and Shi'ite Arabs and between Arabs and Kurds. If Iraqis were unified, most of the violence, instead of a small part of it, would be directed against the American troops, and the remnants of a defeated US army would have been withdrawn by now. However much Iraqis might hate the American invader and occupier, they do not hate him enough to unite and to drive him out. They would rather kill one another.

Iran, the current focus of demonization, is not Arab. Iranians are descended from the ancient Persian race. Indeed, Iran would do itself a favor if it changed its name back to Persia. For eight years (1980-1988) the Iranians and Iraqis were locked in catastrophic war with horrendous casualties on both sides. Despite its military exhaustion, Iraq was considered a "threat" by the American Superpower and was bombed and embargoed for the decade of the 1990s, one consequence of which was the deaths of 500,000 Iraqi children.

Not content with the complete crippling of Iraq by the Clinton administration, the Bush administration invaded Iraq in 2003 and has been dealing more death and destruction to Iraq ever since.

Palestine has been under Israeli occupation for decades. Israel has simply stolen most of Palestine, and the remaining Palestinian enclaves are ghettos policed by the Israeli army.

The rulers of Saudi Arabia and the oil emirates are Sunni Arabs. They are more afraid of Shi'ite Arabs than of Israelis. Egypt, Jordan, and Pakistan are ruled by bought-and-paid-for American puppets. The Turkish military is also in the American pocket and suppresses any Islamist influence in the civilian government.

Afghanistan is a disunited country of tribal peoples, each holding sway in their area. The Taliban were attempting to unify Afghanistan, and the Bush administration's fear that the Taliban might succeed was the reason for the US invasion of Afghanistan. The US allied with the defeated Northern Alliance, in part a remnant of the old Soviet puppet government, and turned Afghanistan back over to warlords.

When the facts are considered – Muslim disunity and the absence of modern technology, navies, and strategic reach – the Bush/Cheney/neoconservative/Zionist propaganda that "we must fight them over there before they come over here" is such a transparent hoax that it is astounding that so many Americans have fallen for it.

To the extent that there is any Muslim threat, it is one created by the US and Israel. Israel has no diplomacy toward Muslims and relies on violence and coercion. The US has interfered in the internal affairs of Muslim countries during the entire post World War II period. The US overthrew an elected government in Iran and installed the Shah. The US backed Saddam Hussein in his aggression against Iran. The US has kept in power rulers it could control and has pandered to the desires of Israeli governments. If America is hated, America created the hate by its arrogant and dismissive treatment of the Muslim Middle East.

There is no such thing as Islamofascism. This is a coined propaganda word used to inflame the ignorant. There is no factual basis for the hatred that neoconservative Islamophobes instill in Americans. God did not tell America to destroy the Muslims for the Israelis.

In America today, blind ignorant hate against Muslims has been brought to a boiling point. The fear and loathing is so great that the American public and its elected representatives in Congress offer scant opposition to the Bush administration's plan to make Iran the third Middle East victim of American aggression in the 21st century.

Most Americans, who Harris believes to be so reasonable, tolerant, and deliberative that they cannot defend themselves, could not care less that one million Iraqis have lost their lives during the American occupation and that an estimated four million Iraqis have been displaced. The total of dead and displaced comes to 20 percent of the Iraqi population. If this is not fanaticism on the part of the Bush administration, what is it? Certainly it is not reason, tolerance, and deliberation.

Those who live by the sword die by the sword as the saying goes OR what goes around comes around! Is that yet another reason for people to be so fearful of retribution? Because inside those pushing the WAR agenda know they have already gone too far...Hmmm I doubt...thats being too kind.
Look to your banking fami"lies" they are the only ones to benefit from making WAR.

I side with Chaz Gaily's position exactly!

Thank you Chaz!!!

Reporters who report the news and issues that have impacting consequences 'DO NOT HAVE TO NECESSARILY BELIEVE OR AGREE WITH' the news being reported.

There is 'no' known rule in journalism which states a reporter 'must believe' their own reporting.

In the case of the creation of this particular article, there is one fact born in acid ---

* There are many people who are not even aware of this film or about the growing nature of Anti-Radical Islamic groups in America and around the world.

I have angered some because I have placed this issue on the front-burner --- brougght it to your attention --- have made us responsible for making a decision to boycott, join, or ignore these groups!

If there is no knowledge of something that is happening, then there will be no solution when it becomes too late!

WILL YOU BOYCOTT, JOIN OR IGNORE???

I repeat my stance on this issue: Quote Chaz Gaily's previous comment "It could be true and it could be something possibly coming in....."

I personally believe September 11, 2001 was not the end, but definitely the beginning of a slow cooking global war.

Do we ignore this or take positive affirmative action on this???

Do we need candlelight prayer vigils?

I SAY YES NOW, MORE THAN EVER!!!

Care2 is designed to organize and mobilize for or against an issue, not against another individual Care2 member for bringing an article to your attention!

Even if I knew of an incoming terrorist attack being scheduled for October of 2009 in New York City, and if I had 'no' proof that I could publicly share, then I would be unable to report on that issue ---

But I would certainly hope that the United States Government was doing everything humanly possible to stop another coordinated massive attack!!!

Some people blame the U.S. Government for the 9/11 attacks, some others blame Radical Islam, and still others are trying to blame the passengers of those planes for buying their tickets that day ---

This is a definite sign of a sick society unraveling ---

WE NEED TRUTH THROUGH ANALYSIS AND PUBLIC DEBATE ---

AND WE NEED THIS NOW!!!

Elderberry T. (187)
Friday September 18, 2009, 8:13 am
What issue ? Fake Terror? If you don't believe this stuff then why bother posting it? You mobilised care2 to remove my comments on your other islamophobic post, seems my opinion is a threat to you. Yet I am not alone here.

marilyn s. (99)
Friday September 18, 2009, 8:37 am
To me this is not "Fake Terror", if you were watching the bombs set of at the World Trade Center, then the actual planes hit the Twin Towers and all of the people then you would be aware that the United States IS UNDER THREAT!

What about all of the Countries - Nations that the United States helps, sends food, all of the citizens that help other countries that are in need, but when it comes to the Good Ole U.S.A., people don't want to help, and leave us on our own, and just say what some of these comments are saying -- WELL THIS IS ALL ABOUT OIL, possibly, we do crave the stuff, but a craving for oil did not make these fanantics take off with all of those planes and fly them to the destinations to Harm all of those INNOCENT PEOPLE.

I would never personally think anyone opinions would actually be a threat to Sir Robert, I think he welcomes both sides of the "Coins" pros and cons, he puts news up here on this site to make people think and become aware of something that some people just stick their heads in the sand and choose to ignore and say -- "well that really never happened."

Kinda like the younger generation that goes to school and says -- "I never believe that Hitler actually put all those Millions of Jews into a gas chamber and killed them.

We need to be AWARE...it is so sad to me that the United States has now been put into this situation that after all of the help, aid, etc, etc, we have done (and personally, kinda wish we would of kept all of the aid in the United States) now we have to be on the defense always. There are way to many stories out there I see from my Dad's Marine group come to me about things that are FOR REAL TAKING PLACE, and most of us in the United States have no clue about it -- it is kept behind closed doors.

marilyn s. (99)

And...maybe some of you think American's are Muslims haters, but I never see any of that here in California, we have all sorts of people. The only Hate Crimes I have read about are directed towards gangs, not one particular nationality.

As far as going to the site, maybe or maybe not....but, I for SURE do know for a FACT THAT WE DO HAVE HIDDEN CELLS HERE IN CALIFORNIA, THAT IS A FACT, CALIFORNIA BEING AN AREA THAT HAS A LOT OF NAVY, AIR FORCE, MARINES, ETC, YOU BETCHA!!!!

We HAVE TO BE ON ALERT!!!! And...for all the above comments, right before 9-11-2001 when the planes hit the Trade Center, I had flown back to Iowa, it was around August 22-24 to get back for a reunion -- had an early fight, there was a man sitting in the back of the plane and his wife and newborn were in front of me, the woman was hysterical, the man was very quite, kinda flying under the radar. Still the woman was extremely wound up and her baby was screaming, the man behind me offered to give up his seat so the family could be together, but personally I can't fly with a screaming person behind me and neither could a couple others so they were left in their specified seats. While we sat at the San Diego Airport for over 1 1/2 hour the staff on the plan tried to calm the lady down, let the man come up, etc. Finally, something happened and four police cars came up to escort this man and family off the plane. To this day, I think he was one of the people that had done flight training here in San Diego, trying to get back for his "Task" to fly one of those planes!!! And That is MY OPINION!

If all this known why is the US putting their people at risk by allowing Muslims to stay within their country. The US should know that the radicals will always subvert those less hardlined. When an act of terror occurs, it will be the ordinary man in the street who suffers, not the politicians.
Here in India we have many radicals coming in from Bangladesh and Pakistan, but there are equally radical Hindu groups who manage to keep these mad men in check. Without the radical Hindu groups India would have been overrun bu these extremists long ago.
If a small, underpowered country like India can do it, I cannot understand why the US s forever talking but doing so little.. Do you want that your country will also become an Islam country like Britain and France by the year 2050? Send them back to their deserts and date palms, burquas and oil !!!

marilyn s. (99)
Friday September 18, 2009, 12:51 pm
Actually, that would be putting all Muslims into one catagory....and to me that would be like putting all Germans into one catagory. There are both good and the bad.

In fact, there is a store I go to all the time the man running it is Muslim and is a very good friend of mine. I would never think that he would be involved with any act against the United States and he still has sisters, brothers still living where he came from.

Here in the United States, our Constitution says equal for ALL people, a few bad seeds here in there doesn't mean that entire nationality is all the rotten apple. If we started to send back everyone that is here LEGALLY, the United States would not be the diverse amount of people that so love this great USA.

I fully believe that Islamic people who came to North America[Canada and USA] were allowed to enter because they wished to live in peace and safety. So I say to the rest who are not happy here get the heck out and go back. My Uncle and thousands of others died to give North America citizens the right to peace and safety on home ground. SO ANYONE WHO IMMIGRATED AND DON"T LIKE THE WAY WE LIVE GET THE &%*#@ OUT AND GO BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM!!!!!

The life of each Muslim is always within the community of the faithful: All are declared to be "brothers to each other," with the mission to "enjoin good and forbid evil." Within the community, Muslims are expected to establish social and economic justice. They are also expected to carry their message out to the rest of the world. In the early Islamic community, this meant the use of force in the form of jihad, or holy war. The intent was not to force conversion on anyone; this was forbidden by the Koran. The object of jihad was to gain political control over societies and run them in accordance with the principles of Islam.

Going to leave this one up to Sir Robert...I have spoke my peace on this one...stating I am not against anyone and this site to me is all about opinions, NOT SLAMS on one particular nation.

I personally am so confused why so many people are JUMPING out of the woodwork on this one...

This article and News was NOT MEANT TO IRITATE ANY NATIONALITY, IT WAS TO INFORM PEOPLE.

Personally, I am so confused as to the way that all of your comments have gone, I have no problems with any sort of Religion, being brought up in a private school when I was only 5 yrs old. Some of these comments personally hurt me, I was brought up to "actually not like certain people since my father had to fight after America slept and got all of his friends got killed at Pearl Harbor, in Oahu" at the same time, I did way overcome all of what I was brought up with all of the compassion in my heart for the entire world and all of the people.

These comments are totally disturbing to me...and I would really like someone to set me right, if I am wrong, I will jump out of Care2, thought that this site was for justice for animals, environment, and information, if it is for SLAMMING THE UNITED STATES--- PERSONALLY, I am outta here, and good luck to all of you people that hate!!

Sorry Cranky!!!!

It's okay Marilyn, some people like to argue and fuss --- Politics & Government > there is an automatic arguement for you!

There are two types of Islam:

#1. The general-original good faith based on the brotherhood of human spirituality --- AND

#2. RADICAL ISLAM, that has hi-jacked the traditional source religion of Islam and has practically re-written the Koran by re-interpreting with some additions. This is false doctrine and the true Islamic clergy denounce this abusive misguided and destructive path!!!

Radical Islam wishes to dominate or enslave ANYONE ANYWHERE on Earth that 'does not' conform to their radical interpretation doctrine.

Christians expect Armageddon according to doctrine, but Radical Islam guarantees to bring it on --- It seeks to create mass chaos and pave the road to world domination --- and they are in 'no' hurry!

I personally intend no negatives to be perceived against traditional Islam ---

But this must be brought to awareness, or else it will one day bite us all.

***Everyone is invited to attend a Public Debate regarding this issue. It has just been started, but is beginning to take off!

If you have No fear...then you never did believe that we had Pearl Harbor, we had attacks at the World Trade Center...and maybe I will see you on the plane sometime, you will be the one calming me down should something happen.

Agreed...we are kept in the dark way to much on certain items that they claim are for America's good. Frankly, I think they would be better off just putting it out there and let the people that don't believe something could happen hide their heads in the sand, and the ones that do just be more watchfull.

Could be a WIN WIN instead of all of this secret stuff!

There doesn't need to be any movement devoted to demonizing Islam, because Islam IS a demon, sorry. The real problem is that Westerners are history ignoramuses when it comes to Islam, and are easy dupes for the "Islam is a religion of peace" b.s.
