U.S. General warns that the eight year conflict in Afghanistan may become a lost war -- if more troops are not soon deployed into this chaotic region. We have arrived at the final turning point, and additional man-power has become crucial for a win!

Put the generals on the front line along with the bankers and heroin distributors (CIA) and you will see a successful conclusion to this creation of theirs fade away overnight.

Generals love a good soldier Why because by their definition a good soldier has no love of self or self respect and will therefore obey illegal orders without question. This lack of love is why most military marriages end up on the rocks because when you cant love and respect yourself then you cannot do this to others.

Someone still remembers the time before 9/11? Who killed most people after it?

I have been caustic about the proposition of 'restoring' a country which is composed of disparate groups united via a British map before. It is interesting that at one and the same time that it is stated that more troops are not the solution that more troops must be provided! Foreign imposed government does not gain native support by killing the natives. It does, however, kill the natives.

This one is another blood for oil exchanged. The eventual plans are toe run a pipeline from central Asia across these lands to the Arabian Sea. Very convenient.

No occupying power has EVER held this country for long...

We are just the last in a very LONG line of imperial invaders that thought a pip squeek little nation like this could toss out a major superpower like Russia, or the USA.

Vietnam was supposed to be a lesson in how NOT to occupy a country, but we did not learn that lesson.

So the cost may have to be much higher in terms of blood and treasure.
