First take the 'Obama Messianic Syndrome' (OMS) test-challenge, and then complete the main-source article link in an attempt to evaluate your actual level of Obama loyalty at present. There are some who still worship this subservient politician Obama-God!

One has to remember that Obama is a man and not God.. and we are all prone to mistakes and have our hidden weaknesses... so lets not be judgemental

See, there was Abraham Lincoln, a Divine Incarnation Who did His part to extablish a balance for nowa days, but He didn’t become totally aware of Who He was. Then, more recently, there’s been Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Vladimir Lenin, Mikhail Gorbachev, Barack Obama, and many others all Who didn’t know about Who They are / were, and why They were stuck right in the thick of the worst places. Wanna know what’s going? Not kidding. This is intelligent, but first, maybe you’ve seen this “The ear that hears the reproof of life abides among the wise. He that refuses instruction despises his own soul: but he that hears reproof gets understanding.” Proverbs 15:31,32. See here:

Please St. Obama safe us from blindness! And by the way, how much life did you save to deserve this peace prize? Looks like I missed some information. About a country that has even regulations and patents how to make experiments on its own population ...

any better candidates? every pres. has big plans and then comes up against road blocks, or realizes his plans aren't as viable as once thought. politicians really have no choice but to make grand promises to get elected. if they're as bright and thoughtful as obama, they reconsider their plans before implementing them and they don't worry about public opinion.

I think that once he gets this country straightened out from the devastation of the last administration, he then can implement some of his plans for this country. It took Bush 8 years to almost totally destroy this country, it will take a while to get it straightened out again; and of course, the Rs are out to block every thing he tries to do. It won't work, he'll get it done when it can be done. I think that he will go down as one of our best Presidents, after all is said and done.

He certainly isn't Jean-Luc; if he was he would have it "made so" and put most of the GOP and a good percentage of the Dems out of an air-lock and into the vacuum of space.
However US politics isn't sci-fi; even though they often resemble it.

I say give OBAMA a "FAIR GO" he's only been there a short time. In my book anybody who is GAME enough to be President of USA needs a medal for his valor. One never knows when one is to be ASSASSINATED does one?It is also true that he has been left with a lot of DIRTY LAUNDRY to sort out.I also think he has an HONEST face.

Well Dar at least he can string two words together unlike his predecessor; however he is a puppet I doubt there's a been president for decades who wasn't. Cheney was certainly Bush's puppeteer. Just face it guys America is a corporation.
The insurance companies etc. have bought your politicians, they're like Columbian drug lords there's no-one they can't buy. They may have passed the first stage of the diluted healthcare bill, but it's not gonna see the light of day in even it's present form; Leiberman etc. have been bought and paid for already.

Who says he doesn't have to prove anything? Was that a gorilla who said that? lol.
Good thing. If it were a real human being, I would have to point out exactly why Obama DOES have to prove something! Most of us adults know that he is being paid with the tax dollars of the People of the United States. Of course a gorilla woudn't know that. Most of us know that here in the United States, the people are the ones that Obama has to answer to and to prove himself to. But, of course a gorilla woudn't know that.
Thank God that no one pays attention to gorillas except to see them in the zoo's playing, sleeping and throwing poop at each other...

Sir Robert I like your heading..lol... That's funny.

As a Canadian I obviously do not look to the US leader for guidance in any way but do hope he does well for the United States of course as we are also neighbors!

I like President Obama myself and think he is a dignified man, but it is true, we do have to be careful not to deify a person because the previous leader may have disappointed us if that be the case.

We had a former Prime Minister here in Canada in the 1970's who was Liberal but was more Marxist or Communist than anything in his ways! lol..

He was a god man, Trudeau, but also had another side to him that was very radically left wing.

People either loved him or they hated him.

In the end, his radicalism left the Liberal Party pf Canad in ruins, but I babble about our politics.

My main point is we have to be careful who we crown as king as all our leaders are just humans and poop and pee just like you and me! :)

The people of Venezuela elected Hugo Chavez as President of Venezuela, and with the support of the working class movement, he did plenty for the people of Venezuela in his first year.

In comparison, Obama has done very little change, because he has chosen to use his presidential orders to make things remain almost the same.

Just thought I'd jump back in about people like Joe Lieberman being paid to vote against any gov't plan. There is probably some truth to that, however, it is equally likely that those that are pushing the gov't plan at the congressional and executive levels have also been paid. It is, unfortunately, the way of all politicians in the US and, I would guess, most of the world.

Based on most of the comments in other threads, if the current congress and administration have their way, then to continue the Star Trek theme, "Resistance is futile. Prepare to be assimilated!"

E.g. Obama ordered more paid killers to go to Afghanistan and terrorise the people there into submitting to the puppet government there, and submitting to U.S. corporations and permanent U.S. military bases.

And e.g. Obama explicitly ordered the continuation of the program of "Rendition" (CIA kidnapping people and taking them to other countries to be tortured).

And Obama's regime has given huge material support to the coup-makers in Honduras (despite the capitalist media lies about "U.S. neutrality" and "U.S. support for democracy"). Without Obama's support, the coup would not have happened, and if Obama withdraws support for the current oppressive coup regime, it will fall, and the people of Honduras will be able to return their country to democracy without further oppression, deaths, etc..

For more information and evidence to support what I have written, I recommend these articles that I posted in Care2:

Honduras: A Victory For "Smart Power"
http://www.care2.com/news/member/860103097/1298117
"Obama's administration uses military power with diplomacy, political & economic influence, cultural penetration & legal manuvering. They call this "Smart Power". Its first application is U.S. support for the coup regime in Honduras, hidden by propaganda."

US Air Force Document Reveals True Intentions Behind US-Colombia Military Agreement
http://www.care2.com/news/member/860103097/1298122
"It allows the US to use any installation throughout Colombia, providing the Pentagon with "...an opportunity for conducting full spectrum operations throughout South America..." [except for Cape Horn], against so-called "anti-US governments", e.g. Venezuela."

Obama 'White Power in Black Face'
http://www.care2.com/news/member/860103097/1298095
"Decrying Obama as "white power in black face", 100s of Black Americans marched on the White House on Saturday to protest Obama's policies, and to demand he bring US troops home, scrap the USA's Africom, and end U.S. aggression against Cuba & Venezuela."

I don't worship Obama but I certainly appreciate him. No president can satisfy everyone but I think Obama has a wider veiw than Bush and McCain. Also, I think those that hate Obama the most actually make him more likable.

I don't hate Obama and did vote for him. I do not think he will see a second term. Too slow, not decisive enough. He had the chance to lead a revolution and instead has sat in place spinning in circles. He does not understand that he was elected because he is not a repulican and has spent way too much time trying to compromise with them. He needed to push as hard as Bush did, in the opposite direction and has failed to do so. The end result is a republican president in three years!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys, politicans are politicans they will do anything to get elected....that is a FACT...and any person out there that doesn't know that is a fool...

I was laughting all the way through this news article and thanks for getting this one to me...LOVED IT!!!! Don't think I can send you another star will try, but you SO DESERVE ONE FOR THIS NEWS!!!!

Politics, UGH, that is a tough one especially on Care2...everyone hate conservative people, I get killed, but this article make me smile to no end and I will forward this one...LOVE, LOVE, LOVED it!!! You get these out there, when no one else does...

Sometimes I hear about some things that are so upsetting on my Disaster Site, and then you are right there...

People be SMART, take a look don't live under a rock or be the three monkeys, this is so important...and frankly don't think we had much of a choice in the last election, I was so upset even though I voted, I felt sick.

Think these party's need to get their act together or lets get something else..., but for a FACT, you can not be stupid and live under a rock and think that you are protected, not happening now....we are all under attack...this is a FACT!!!

Thanks Sir Robert.....this is a funny article. I, for one, am still hopeful that Obama was the right choice, and that's what it boils down to, isn't it? Not many people would take a pay cut and endure the abuse that being in office attracts. I see a man who is trying to overcome unforeseen obstacles to deliver on the promises he has made. I just hope he does not succumb to pressure from corporate lobbyists - a gesture that is sure to get him failing grades IMHO.

As others have stated above, this country and its politicians are owned by the corporations. Like almost every politician, Obama had to make a deal with the devil (i.e. the corporations, bankers, and military-industrial complex) to buy his way into office. We are like children who expect some savior of any party to save us. WE ARE ALL GOING DOWN. We don't have enough collective sense to not rock the lifeboat by squabbling among ourselves. I think it's good to laugh, but when all is said and done we are squandering our future on evil and senseless wars. We are allowing ourselves to be fleeced by a gambling elite on wall street who have all the power to keep the deck stacked in their favor. I'm sure they love to see the common people divided as we self-destruct.

Winning the Noble peace prize while escalating the two largest wars on the face of the planet shows he has the natural ability, but he lacks the drive, brilliance, focus and desire to excel that we need so much from him.
Most of you have heard of fantasy football, here is fantasy Obama!
It was brilliant to set up websites to gather public opinion.
It was foolish to go against the knowledge he gained.
He stops both wars as fast as possible with out any loss of solders. Massive amounts of money return to our economy!
He is truly worthy of the peace prize he has won and many people are on his side and will never forget what he has done.
If he would have stood up for legalizing pot, full amnesty for all who are in jail for pot, with full restoration of their civil rights 40 percent of the voters would have followed him right into the gates of hell if he wanted them to! This would also have put him in the history books.
If he would have said "I am a smoker and I don't think smokers have been treated fairly, so I am taking all federal taxes off tobacco and also stopping all subsidies for tobacco farmers, and insurance for children is such a good idea that everyone should pay for it, not just smokers" that would have been 30 percent of the voters!
The credit card fiasco, I propose a law that freezes all aspects of credit until a federal consumer protection agency is formed. Another large percentage of voters.
Now he has the power of voters and the momentum of several victories behind him to attack health care and immigration reform!
