Less than a decade ago 60 minutes went to the Pentagon to cover a new story concerning a concept identified as Information Cyber-Warfare, and now it has already happened, is happening now, and will probably continue to escalate toward an actual war.

It is a serious issue..And I think they need to secure it anyway they can..

"So far at least 18 bills have been introduced as Congress works carefully to give federal authorities the power to protect the country in the event of a massive cyberattack. Lawmakers do not want to violate personal and corporate privacy or squelching innovation. All involved acknowledge it isn't going to be easy.

For most people, the Internet is a public haven for free thought and enterprise. Over time it has become the electronic control panel for much of the world's critical infrastructure. Computer networks today hold government secrets, military weapons specifications, sensitive corporate data, and vast amounts of personal information.

Millions of times a day, hackers, cybercriminals and mercenaries working for governments and private entities are scanning those networks, looking to defraud, disrupt or even destroy."

"Bills in the House Homeland Security Committee bills would protect the electric grid and require the department to secure its networks."

Thanks Robert..

Sorry I am so late...

Sir Robert terrific news...and it is absolutely RIGHT ON!!!! Frankly, I had a nightmare about this last night after watching some news story, then clicked on your news which is always so INSIGHTFUL, but totally made it all REAL!!!

People are not protected with the Internet, the fact the it runs rapid is insance, and maybe I am getting this wrong.

I get to upset about people peeking in I can not believe it, but, once you are the computer guys, everyone knows what you are doing all the time...

To many hackers out there and when I saw the article, I know what I DO NOT HAVE any of my accounts special files etc in this internet...Call me old, but I will still do things the old way go to pay my bills, not oneline, not giving one person my account...

Special News and as always Sir Robert...You are right to get this out there to people...

Hope I got this right...sometimes, I am lacking in the "Brain" power that your stories have.
