The U.S. Government is preparing to release the details concerning a homeowner's assistance package of $50 billion dollars, that could help upto 3 million people with late mortgages. Not everyone in need will benefit; however, some is better than none!

Better late than never?

This is the core problem to the financial crisis, and the government saved the banks first, then slowly aides the homeowners.

A large percentage of homeowners knew they could not eventually afford their mortgage, but thought they had a lot more time.

I think that the way these sub-prime mortgages were handled, most of the poor credit home buyers, did not understand, until the interest rate ballooned. Some even lost their jobs in the interim.

The writers of these loans were patting these people on the back and saying "yes you can", while sticking their other hand in the peoples back pockets and stealing their wallets. It was all a setup to keep them down and get them off the voting roles.

I"m still seeing signs, "$0 down", they haven't stopped writing these bad loans!
