If it is a real Al-Qeada attack and not an inside job like 9/11 then a swift and decisive response should be made to let them know they are not dealing with a pacifist, but with someone that does not support unjustified wars. If they want us out of their part of the world then they need to back off and give Obama a chance to do just that otherwise they are just provoking more war.

I note with sadness the comments wishing more violence on the world by the aggressor, and mutilator of the world. Do you not think that the United States has spread enough of its criminal behaviour round the globe already. the American People voted in Obama for change not more of the same...

What if he were a real states man and not some ignorant jumped up little cowboy that we have had for the last eight years?

What if he were to stand firm and not be moved to impulsive revenge?

What if he were a real Human Being that believes in the Human Rights Declaration?

Yes that is what change is about...transforming situations by leadership, justice and respect.

I had hoped we had seen the last of this "let's go get them" attitude that has darkened this planet and made so many of our lives a living hell. The phony "war of terror" murdered my step-daughter...My response has been to refuse to hate back...I broke the cycle of endless bitterness and hate...it can be done.

I hope that Obama is a real Human Being for once...is it so much to ask.

I'm with you, David - it is asking a lot of one person but I'm still hopeful that Obama is all we wish him to be. Of course, he needs all the people of the world to stand beside him and say "enough of all that - we are going to be different now." It's really up to us as much as it is up to him.

Gandhi said that We have to be the change we wish to see in the world...but Bush has shown us all how miserable the world can be without proper inspired leadership...he claims to talk to god...sorry fella you're kidding no Divine Being told you to bomb, shoot and kidnap your way round the globe like an out of control thug.

Real change is coming. we have to believe it. We have to be it.
