Archaeologists have discovered what they say is the oldest surviving human brain in Britain, dating back at least 2000 years to the Iron Age.

So....THAT'S where I left it! I just don't recall traveling to Britain, however. I wonder if my car keys are there also? LOL! OOPS, I'm a lil' bit slow, for it only now occurred to me, that I'm a "tad" under 2,000 yrs. old, although I shall be having a B.day in a couple of "48's".

Isn't it ironic that a brain should survive 2,000 years, when the people of its own time thought so little of its owner that the poor individual was killed for a ritual? He/she was smarter than all of them and managed to make it 2 centuries! Great story, Robert.

Very interesting, now to see what information the tissue provides. I do wish they had told us more of the soil composition as that must have something to do with the preservation of the tissue. In some societies, Louise it was an honor to be chosen for sacrifice, one that I think we would all happily take pass on today. Thanks for the article, Robert.
