As long as the corporate oligarchy manipulates the American people with this two-parties-only sham of democracy, then no matter the election: corporations win; Americans lose.

Oh, yes, I can see Romney would be the same tactful, thinking, intelligent president George Bush was -
And we can have the rest of the world looking at us with disgust once again ....

What is this doing on the front page? Only 16 notes.

Sorry Frank but when the Ste type in Egypt apologized he was going against all American values. I wish this administartion would stop the appeasement. Had the security force in Lybia been authorized to shoot, it may have made a difference.

Gov Romney stood up and said what he should have... What did obama do... say a few words and fly off to campaign. He is the one politicizing this tragedy...

Wow... Where's the backbone of the people... Do you want American to just rollover and let this continue... It was a deliberate assault... These people were murdered!! What if it they were your sons, husbands, fathers... Someone you actually knew... What is wrong, why are you so blinded by the lies of obama and his brainwashed media... It was proven that they gang up on Romney to do all they can to make him look bad and distort what he says and they cover for obama and biden and their lies... Wake up and stand up with one voice and vote this incompetent man out of office. He is destroying this great country and walking all over her constitution..

If someone is murdered in NYC, does that mean that every single person who lives in NYC is to blame?
We are so quick to jump to conclusions and assume the worst - you cannot have peace with a closed fist.

Besides being an outright lie about what Obama actually did, it shows his enormous ignorance about foreign affairs. Romney seems to want to reassert that awful caricature of the "Ugly American". where Americans are perceived as the bully in the world's schoolyard. That, more than anything else, is why most of the world hates us.Romney's overt aggressive "America is best and knosw what is best for the whole world" attitude will do more harm than good in the long run.

I just saw an article today whose headlines spoke of a possible major war in the Middle-East. Do you people who back Romney really know the ramifications of what being “nonsensical on foreign policy matters in the Middle-East, can bring to us in this country? We are not back in the times where the cowboy guns down the outlaw and we all just ride peacefully off into the sunset. These days a Middle-East conflict may even involve a limited nuclear exchange. I think the American people want a president who thinks things out, and not a saber rattling impulsive leader who may or not be loose cannon on important matters of foreign policy, especially with the stakes as high as they are now!

Mittens should be ashamed of himself for using this tragedy as an opportunity to criticize the President. This is only a sampling of how he'd behave as president and come November hopefully people will remember that. Good article, thanks Frank.

John Gregoire, if this was a story you agreed with you'd have no trouble seeing it on the front page, but because you disagree and obviously have a problem accepting the truth...

Scarlett P., president Obama adressed the situation. He reiterated that we have to show respect for all people and he condemned the attacks. What do you want him to do? Declare war on Libya? Just be honest, no matter what he does you'd still be against him.
