"The year-long study sought to determine if Boyan Slat's array is indeed a feasible ocean cleanup method. The result? According to the independent experts who have read the full 530-page report (...wrapped in plastic recovered from the oceans): it is." !

It has possibilities. This particular article doesn't explain how it gets past certain technical hurdles, and the theory is nothing new, but sometimes all it takes is a twist or a tweak and a theory become a method.

Thanks Ruth :")
What a great kid...inventing this idea. I hope it works when put to use. I'm sure it will.

Anyone remember the ash borer beetle and the mess it's made with ash trees across continents?? Well, maybe someone like Boyan should have thought about all those trees being cut and burned and what better use they may have had. Maybe like cardboard boxes or paper peanuts for packaging...etc..

Congrats Boyan!!!

Good work Boyen Slat. I, sincerely, believe you should contact the oil companies, including the Koch brothers, about your proposal and request 100% funding for your project. The corporations produce the materials that we in humanity use to pollute our own nest. They, in fact, assist the world with pollution and destruction of the environment. They need to help clean it up - call it corporate responsibility. I think this is a capitalism/free market issue, not a "government" issue.
