Another animal loses it's life to stupid human error at a zoo. Not safe in captivity, not safe in the wild. You're right Simone, that it is disgusting...always the easy way now they should have a better game plan.

"Cargill says the zoo would normally prefer to capture an escaped animal with tranquilizer darts. But it would have taken at least a half-hour for the darts to arrive, so police were called as the mountain lion moved among various exhibits.

Cargill said the big cat died instantly when police arrived and shot it."

So let me see if I get this right-the animal is a victim in a zoo it never wanted to be in and then when some idiot makes a mistake and she escapes it just happens to take a half an hour to get tranquilizer darts to the scene or she could have been be spared by more idiots who can't wait to get their shot in. Uh, why is the name Tatiana and the San Francisco Zoo coming into focus here---they've always got to shoot them dead, Simone, didn't you know...thank you, my friend. Sadly noted.
