Stu lived uneventfully with Jeff and two other dogs for five years, before Jeff had to leave him with a sitter in Aug. 2005, due to a family emergency. He entrusted his dogs to an assistant who knew them. While away Stu atypically clashed with another

Signed. Personally, I think the owner should sue the pants off of everyone involved for being incompetent idiots, and for both his and Stu's pain, suffering, and aging in a cold sterile kennel.

Signed with pleasure and for those of you who subscribe to Kiinshp Circle they have thi s as an alert. I wrote a stinging letter to that LA city attorney and asked him if he did not have more to do than to continue pressing this stupid witch hunt and obvious waste of tax payer dollars and how thanks to the internet, the world was now aware of his stupidness! Lots of carbon copies to a lot of branches of services in Los Angeles.

You will be pleased to know this from Brenda at Kinship Circle:

The City Attorney and related officials are being inundated about this case which, ridiculously, has gone on for 4 years. Poor Stu is 11 years old!

I read the “settlement” they’ve proposed to Jeff. It is so absurd I think these people are on drugs.
Sorry, but this case really gets under my skin... Thanks for sending your comments. I hope we can embarrass them into sending Stu home.
Brenda, KC

I'm sorry that I can't sign this. Stupidity, arrogance & pride seem to be the basis of Stu's incarceration. Surely now that Stu has spent 4 years in jail it is about time he was released.

Signed and emailed far and wide. Thanks to Stephanie Ernst at Change.org for starting the petition and thanks Simone for the news post. I've sent out more than 100 emails already (30 to the authorities with a copy of each email to Stu's owner and the rest to my outlook contacts) and of course have just emailed everyone again to sign this petition. I received an acknowledgement from Stu's owner to thank me for the letters - so rest assured, when you cc him on your emails he knows we are fighting for Stu.

Stu, my love, my hope and my prayers are with you. May justice be done, and may that hick who filed that malicious law suit realize you can't make a fast buck out of 'nothing' and that you cannot play with an animals's life for the sake of greed. As for the lawyer who helped her file the lawsuit, SCUM is the word that comes to mind. As for the authorities - a bunch of blithering idiotic political stooges. I could phrase this a tad more elegantly, but then I will be banned from Care2.

Thanks again dear Simone - I'm a bit behind in checking my messages, so Johny come late here, but rather late than never, eh?
