How Vegan? Ingredients Vs. Activism

When I first got involved in animal rights around 1990, "How vegan?" had a simple answer - either something is vegan or it isn't. The way to tell was to compare all of the ingredients on every product against lists of all animal products.

Unfortunately animal products are everywhere so being vegan is not so easy.

Interesting article, well said.
I became a member of Care2 February 2006 when I first became acutely aware of animal cruelty and exploitation. Every day I have a new awareness. Every day I make choices of what to eat, what to wear, what to buy, what to reuse or recycle. Just because I am not 100% Vegan does not mean that I do not strive to that end. "I TRY to choose a Vegan way of life...EVERY CHOICE MATTERS!"
