It should not be enough for the owner to say the cow was used as food. This animal was a sentient being. That means this cow could feel pain and suffered terribly. It's not sentimental but instead a true fact that cows are social animals that live in herds organized into hierarchies. They form friendships. It is also true that they like to groom their friends. Cows have strong bonds with their offspring. Anyone who has been around cows knows they vocalize not only stress or frustration but also excitement and pleasure.

There was no excuse for the horrific suffering inflicted on this animal. None.

Call on the Ga. Dept. of Agriculture and its commissioner, Tommy Irvin, to investigate and enforce the humane slaughter laws. Please be polite.

Action taken, and I know this guy is a sick evil person, it breaks my heart how people let animals suffer. Thank-you Simone.

Absolutely disgusting and appalling - this "person" (?) should have the full force of the law thrown at them.
