This practice is outdated and should be banned it plays no role in todays society... It is cruel and unjust... students should refuse to carry out such practices

This is such a useless practise. Humans and animals are so different from one another so what is the purpose!!!

Humans and animals are different indeed... but not SO different. Believe me, I'm a vet and I know a bit about that. And sometimes drugs that are developed for humans using animals as part of the investigation, are used later in animal medicine as well.

Investigation in animals is less and less needed as we develop new methods, though, but in those cases where it's still necessary, certainly vivisection IS an outdated practice. We have many ways to look inside a living creature without making it suffer.
