Is Killing Painlessly Okay?

Is my death a harm to me? It is a profound question. If I were to die today (painlessly because suffering is bad), would I be harmed in some way? The case of nonhuman animal death is similarly profound. In the case of my death, we may not reason our way

Lap top freezing up so this will be quick and I will have to come back to visit this site..

When they talk about killing painlessly...never is!!! And, sorry, since I didn't have time to visit this site I may be way off base on this one and will be happy to be corrected.

Remember all of those cows that were going to slaughter last year, they may have seen this as a painless death, but they were put into the trucks, many to weak to get out, then a huge truck with forks picked the ones up that couldn't move and moved them.

OK - I stand corrected, article is not about that, but a Moral issue basically, if I understood correctly. Had to see if I had time to check out the article...and did read it.

UMMMM this would be a tough one for me, we put our pets down when they are ill and I am totally fine with that and wish we could do that for our human friends when they fight a illness they will never recover from, but a painless death for food -- now, that would be a totally different piece of the pie for me...

Sorry, back and forth on that one yes for Pets, NOPE for Food!!!

Even if death is painless, the fear of forthcoming death cannot be erased. Glad I am a vegetarian (well almost) but these articles are inspiration to complete the full step to vegetarianism. Thanks Simone, a dreadful story really but something we all should know.
