Alcohol is to readily used as an excuse for any kind of unacceptable behaviour from to wife beating animal cruelty and a whole lot more besides the message on drunk driving is slowly getting tyhrough but still the excuse trot out apparently this article wassober enough to get a direct hit in the dark on arelatively small target so that drunk rubbish does not add up anyway!

I don't care if she was drunk or not. She deliberately murdered an innocent living being and made him suffer - that is all that matters. This conviction she got away with was just another slap on the wrist and a slap in the face to all the animals. I wonder who she'll kill next.

12 weeks in detention will hardly rehabilitate this young alcoholic. If only there were classes on animal sensitivity training. There must be some way to get through to people who have no respect for life. Thanks.

Why don't they put an apple on her head & let a bunch of drunks shoot at the apple with a bow & arrow while drunk and see what happens.

Gudran, waste of an apple! Unless it's a bad one and you're going to stick it in its foul mouth!

I dont accept excuses from people who claims that they suffer from depression or taken too much alcohol. Harm that very same person and he will try to get away from the danger. So, he knows perfectly well that he is in danger. Then why would that person harm an animal without knowing that he is doing wrong. Sorry, I feel nothing for these people trying to blame anything else except themselves.

10 years of jail and never "own" a pet would have been more appropriate.
She is a danger to the entire community, humans included.
I completely and 100% agree with Gudrun!

I'm glad she got some punishment, but, left up to me she would have suffered the same fate as the cat.
