According to The Humane Society of the United States and Maddie’s Fund, eight million pets enter shelters and rescue groups every year, with three million of these healthy and treatable pets euthanized due to a lack of adoption.
It's great that Fbk, Twtr, & MySpc are helping and I hope people start to realize that they need to go to shelters and never, ever, ever to pet stores. All our cats are rescues, and I can't imagine life without any of them. Please, America, pass the word - pick your pets from shelters, rescues, adoption centers and never, ever pet stores!
