I have a Pekin duck, she's one of our companion animals. She came here when she was 10 days old and imprinted on me, so I've gotten to know her personality very well...and she certainly has one.

I cannot fathom the torture, pain and frustration the ducks in those horrible "farms" must go through each and every day...no water to bathe in and constantly dirty, barely any to drink, crowded, constantly standing, nowhere to safely lie, toxic air, and darkness...never to feel or see the sun and fresh air, or grass under your feet. No greenery to graze at your leisure...no swimming, ever, ever, ever.

Why do humans think they have a right to hold other creatures as slaves, forcing them to live in such misery, just so the humans can "make a profit"?

I am sick and tired of the entire fucking world using "gotta earn a living!" as an excuse for everything, especially bad behaviour and greediness. Animals do NOT belong to us! They aren't ours to treat as slaves, to be nice or horrible to, on whim. They exist for their own reasons, and as much as I love my Callallo duckie, I would gladly forego having her near if I knew that no other duck or creature had to suffer the way the ducks in those goddamned miserable and disgusting foie gras ducksheds are treated. If those horrible little trolls who own those "farms" had done to them what they do to ducks and geese, there would be instantly no more abuse. They make up excuses and tell people "it's humane," what kind of IDIOTS do they think people are? It's not humane, and you're just in it for your self-centered, greedy-assed PROFIT. It's always all about money. Money, money, money. That's all that counts. No one EVER does anything because it's simply the right thing to do...because if that were the case, we wouldn't be using animals as slaves to harm and consume at will. We'd stop eating the wearing them and let them live in peace. We need them, but they don't need us at all and would be happy if they never saw another human again I am sure!

I Bitched and signed the petitions yesterday...and for the record...I will tell Care2 that I am NOT BEING RUDE IN MY COMMENTS- JUST DISGUSTED AND TO THE POINT....FREEDOM OF SPEECH, HERE....SOMETIMES A STRONG, VOLATILE MESSAGE, WILL HIT HOME WITH ONE WHO UNDERSTAND THE WRATHS OF A PETITIONER!!
