There is no reason to do animal testing, and too many reasons not to do it.
1. see photo above.
2. read this story about animals (bred and) killed for ridiculous reasons
3. animal testing is too often done to protect against lawsuits rather than for human safety
4 animal testing can do more harm to humans than good

I know we get into trouble when we start to believe (wrongly) that the ends ever justify the means. It seems to me that the people who benefit should take the risks and bear the costs. When we disassociate risks and costs from benefits and rewards, we reward bad behavior and place the outcomes of risks on those who did not choose to take the risks. We damage our souls when we try to escape accountability, and we get monsters in charge and run amok.
