Just left a comment with the story before this and now I read this!

You're right Gillian, all politicians regardless of party stripe seem to think animal welfare is a low priority unless t happens to be there TV friendly, media friendly dog that is around them in news conferences! The same for cats!

This problem exists here as well with our lovely Conservative government who looks at animals and the environment as a headache while they offer corporate welfare to big companies!

Shameful bunch, all of them!
