The cult of 'status dogs' has led to a huge rise in the number of pets abandoned by their young owners. The pitiful pet was brought to the animal hospital on Thursday. The cross-bred Staffordshire bull terrier had been attacked by another dog and bitten

This is sad for the dogs. I agree that the people who do this to their dogs are unlikely to take out insurance etc.

Thank you Simone. Very sad but very factual reading from that Vet. I dont see anything changing any time soon-but it is heartwarming that people that might be listened to-are seeing what we see and read every day.

Bless those people at the Harmsworth Memorial Hospital and others like it who finally give those poor dogs the care & love they deserve! and the Telegram, for reporting this issue.

Do you wonder how these people treat their children, if they mistreat their dogs so badly? Yep.

Sad and happening all over the world unfortunately I wish they would increase puinshment to come in line with punishment people get for hurting humans
