n response to VICK's new current news about WANTING A DOG.....FOX now has a poll out on whether he should be allowed to ever have one (Judge Hudson's ruling was no).

N'd and Signed #6, Thanks Simone.

This kind of... lack of compassion for the life, or well being of anything weaker, does not just go away it is "documented" to only continue, expand and grow!! (If givin the chance or opportunity).

ABSOLUTELY NOT!! NOT THE KIND OF AN "SORRY EXCUSE FOR OUR SPECIES" THAT SHOULD EVER AGAIN BE AROUND "ANYTHING" KINDER AND GENTLER!!

.....Max jail time (which should be tougher/longer), larger penalties (with added going to animal Charities), banned from "ever" owning a animal, and put on a list, for all animal abusers.

These dogs that have been rescued from Michael Vick, ...are still feeling/reeling from the years of torture, torment and vicious abuse and are receiving therapy and kindness from their foster homes and owners. Also, in addition to those furbabies who could not be placed in homes, they live with kindness and love in homes/ranches all over the U.S. I think (personally), anyone who exhibits such vile treatment/abuse towards ANY animal(s), should receive a LIFE sentence of NOT owning ANY animal. That's just my opinion, but I feel that abuse towards animals should include this in the prosecution phase in a court of law. I definitely signed this, Simone, and thank you, ladies (above) who also signed. (for the dogs...) ;-)

Action already taken. Michael Vick was on the "Ridiculist" on CNN news today for his request to have a dog. Jon Anderson Cooper was quite witty about suggesting that he start first with a plastic pet dog invented in Germany that poops plastic turds. He must never be allowed to care for a dog and in my opinion he is just trying to get sympathy.

He wants to own a dog hmmm looks like he gave up that right.

Yet at the same time why shouldn't he own one. I am sure he is monitored for everything else.

Why not monitor him with his new dog.

Thats one sure way to prove he is indeed sorry for his actions and maybe people will back off him for what he did in the past.

I am sure there are many people abusing animals right now far worse than what Vick has done.

Sure its easy to keep kicking this man for what he has done.

Still that doesn't make it right or anyone any better for doing it to him.

Many of you here have your own abuses of things that no one has yet to punish you for.

NO WAY NOT EVER! It is beyond offensive that this is even bring discussed, especially since it was not properly dealt with to begin with! Everyday, endless, tragic examples of the link between violence towards animals and violence towards people emerges, yet our society still treats it as "victimless" crime, property damage, pranks or bad judgment. For decades FBI, law enforcement, criminal profile experts, and psychologists have established findings of the irrefutable link between animal abuse and violence towards people-a fracture in mental health and normal behavior, yet our society still does not take it seriously. With all of the links so well established for such a long period of time, it can now be categorized as negligent on the part of legislators, law enforcement and justices for not dealing with this issue in it's proper perspective. We have got to start taking this seriously, if not for the animals, which I personally think that is reason enough, for the vulnerable citizens that are being put in harms way by not dealing with these violent deviants. These people need to be taken off the streets, put on an animal abuse registry, bared from owning an animal, mandatory mental evaluation and put into a therapy/rehabilitation program while serving a sentence for their uncontrollable violence. This is not just about animal activists standing up for the innocent animals, it is about the law protecting ALL of society's innocents. START DOING YOUR JOB!

Judge Hudson's ruling should be respected. Michael Vick's torture and abuse can never be erased, not even with $$$$. Remember there were also defenceless animals used for bait.

What goes around, comes around so hopefully he'll get his just deserts, unlike the poor dogs that he so casually abused, tortured and sometimes killed. Never let him forget, why should we???
