Like Michael says... it isn't Sport, it is Murder. And the fact that there is a stadium full of cheering fans makes it much much worse. Ever wonder what goes on the the mind of a person who screams for an animal to be tortured and killed?

I've been living in Spain for a few months during 3 winters, but NEVER wanted to watch their "national happenings"; the bullfights. Only the thought of the poor bulls tortured on the arena while people shouting loud end encouraging the matadors to kill the bulls, made and makes me still sick. I really cannot understand the meaning of such a cruel and heartless "entertainment"!!!

Rosie Lopez (73)

Since when is animal suffering entertainment?! Any cretin that would go to a bull fight must have a mental problem, no conscience or both in which case the cretin needs to be mashed flat by the wheel of Karma.

Wednesday April 6, 2011, 1:50 pm
Come on Ecuador, be the first to lead the way and abn bullfighting. How anyone can watch a magnificent beast being abused, tortured, tormented and finally, killed for entertainment must surely be without compassion, morals, empathy and finally, without a heart. Truly sickening and time to be relegated into the annals of history. Come on, Ecuador, be the bull's champion for once instead of his murderer.

Sonja C (7)

Time this disgusting bullfighting was banned. Ecuador you could be the first to lead the way. Bullfighting is disgusting and so very very cruel and also cowardly. What chance does this poor creature have against idiots with weapons. My goodness if they didn't have a weapon and the bull turned on them they would run for their lives "COWARDS" I would love to see the bullfighters get goard by the bull let them feel the pain they inflict on these most magnificent creatures. People who bullfight are nasty sadistic evil bastards and I hope they all rot in hell one day.

Barbaric sadist tradition should be banned. This poor animal ask its killers to stop torture....

Dorothy Gresham (0)
Wednesday April 6, 2011, 2:51 pm
This is not a sport, it is barbaric murder. Look at the face of that poor bull. He is not dead yet, he is suffering terribly. It is just not right that those poor animals should be treated like that. They didn't choose nor did they ask to live like that. Not only that, they are at a total disadvantage as everything is done to weaken them before the matador goes in for the kill and the kill is not always clean and swift. Many, many years ago, I was in Spain and attended a bull fight which completely sickened and disgusted me. I actually cried for the bull and was routing for him to get the better of the matador. How can people do such terrible things as this is just terribly cruel and sadistic. PLEASE BAN THIS TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE THING, because it is definitely not a sport.

tear down the bullfighting rings and convert them to soccer fields! Pit one team of humans against another. That would bring more crowds and everyone,-all ages, could enjoy.

Please let Bullfighting be banned, animals should NEVER be used for the entertainment of people. I will never understand people that could enjoy watching an animal be tortured and then killed. What has happened to people??

Wednesday April 6, 2011, 7:28 pm
Pathetic and cruel - humans are the worst species put on the planet. Does our cruelty never end.

Every time I see pictures of these bulls in the ring my heart breaks again. Look at the look on that face. The so-called humans who participate in this horror, both the killers and the spectators are nothing but savages. They cheer the killers and boo the innocent animal who doesn't know why he is being tortured. Glory for the matador? They're nothing but little cowards. The torture of the bull is already done before he gets near him. When will our animals be spared the inhuman cruelty of man?

Cindy B (61)
Wednesday April 6, 2011, 11:10 pm
Yea, Sonja, Dorothy and Marilyn.... I echo your words wholeheartedly. Thousands of screaming fans rooting for a frightened, confused animal to be killed in an arena so they can enjoy watching... That's not only sadistic, it's extremely simple-minded. Humans have come such a SHORT distance since they rose up on their hind legs to have a look around.... And they're already headed back down the other side of that ol' Bell Curve. Humans will all die out, sooner than later. And sometime in the distant future, another big bang will start the whole thing all over. "Groundhog Day" (the movie) on a massive scale! I wonder how long it'll take to get it right...

Karma is going bite them in the ass - but of course, it will be too late for the bulls already killed. Hopefully this man will step up to the plate and save bulls being murdered in similar events. It is very easy to kill an animal that is already so weak that he cannot defend himself. That really takes a big man (or should I rather say asshole). All of these people suffer from "small willy syndrome". I detest this practice and I detest the people that do it and attend it.

I sincerely hope bullfighting will be banned. It certainly shows how incredibly cruel man can be, his lack of compassion is simply incredible ... and we pretend to be the civilised species?

Finally a leader with sense and compassion. This can only be good thing. What kind of sadist started this sport anyway? Please let it happen and let others follow.

Having a sport like this (others are canned hunting, bear baiting, let's not forget cock or dog fighting) or any ritual i.e. Santeria that hurts animals says something about who these people are who enjoy this as well as who we are as a society. those of us on Care 2 really do care but so many turn a blind eye or think so little of animals. We are not a kind species. They even did it to people, always slaves. I know all of you probably think these same thing already but while I am no longer surprised I am shocked that anyone could do something as taunt a bull so you can stick swords in him until he dies. Are we such an evil insecure species that we have to feel power and importance by maiming and hurting animals and in the case of bullfighting it si done in public with thousands watching. How does one get satisfaction and joy from that? What is wrong with us? We are such an aberration on the planet and the beings who live here.

How can you be so Barbaric, we are not living in 17th century where no one cared about who lived and who died, we are living in a technical world, there are so many way that you can entertain yourself you don't need to see an Animal suffer and then die, that is NOT ENTERTAINMENT.

I agree with what everyone has already said !!!
It Most Definitely Is NOT A SPORT in Any way, Shape, or Form. !!!

It Is Just Moronic Humans who have Black Hearts made of Stone,
Enjoying themselves at the expense of A Suffering, Confused Animal,
being slowly Tortured to Death !!!

Matadors, picadors...get a better job! One that harms no one, no being! Improve your spiritual karma, dudes!
I saw very ugly low auras around people at a bullfight when I was 1 and a half years old! I know that this extends to all who remain willfully obstinate when it comes to denigrating all animals for the sake of eating them or using them. Not cool, never good, and never overlooked in the spiritual realm!!!! We blacken and bloody our own souls each time we do anything that contributes to suffering of life.

What a terrible way to make an animal suffer. Violence begets violence. No wonder these nations that have bull fighting can't control the violence in their country. And to think parents take their kids to bull fights.
