My comment:
This is a very ill-considered move! It is no cheaper to murder (euthanize) a cat than it is to sterilize it! PLEASE do the morally right thing and reconsider this decision. We need MORE cats to be sterilized, rather than murdered!

It's pathetic. There used to be several feral cats around here. Every now and then you'd see a kitten who had been hit by a vehicle. So sad.

Maybe they got fixed. Haven't seen any dead kittens for a year or so.

We moved to a community where even cats are required to have licences from the city. If you can prove your pet has been sterilized you get a free licence. This is one incentive and encouragement for people to spay/neuter. An even better one would be for the city to sponsor the free spaying and neutering of pets because this would cut down on stray populations tremendously.

signed and noted...there are inexpensive "tnr" programs for spay/neuter but also need inexpensive vaccine programs. Most of us helping out the ferals are on limited income and then after buying their food etc. it gets to the point of not enough funds to get them all they need...

This rate increase will likely result in the birth fo thousands of unwanted kittens. Money always ruins everything.
