Australia is gearing up to enforce harsher animal cruelty laws. According to the Observer: "Convicted offenders will be automatically banned from owning animals of the same type for a minimum of two years.

Signed Simone.The sooner the better.This should include harsher penalties for minors,who now get nothing more than a slap on the wrist.They make up a large majority of offenders.A few other countries should follow our example.This will be a federal law and will apply to all states.
