Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the spanish have another religious festival whereby they toss a living goat(s) off high church towers but the name of it escapes me.
Why does the torture and abuse of animals play such a large part in "culture" and "religion"? I would think that any righteous god would certainly not want his or her name linked with any of these atrocities.

Samantha, they have festivals where rabbits are hung by their hind feet and participants can throw rocks at them and the one that throws the 'killing stone' gets to take the rabbit home for dinner. The Spanish revel in blood sports. (not all thank but...)It is a culture steeped in much horror..hey who brought the Inquisition to England etc?
