Once again news of actions by the GOP has tanked what was a fairly relaxed Sunday...
Their stupidity is surpassed only by their greed, which has already proven to be the cause of every single negative on this planet, including their fat wallets which have allowed them to buy everything from votes to wars...
I am Honestly waiting for them to try to incorporate or patent the sun, wind, oceans and the heavens.

The numbers shown are beyond depressing, but what really got me was your mention of voting green, protest votes etc...
I have been quite vocal about this on recent threads, and have more than my share of people PO'd at me because of it, but these well intentioned (for the most part) people are now poised to become part of the problem because many are voting (or not) with their pride, ego, and idealism in mind rather than with reality and the greater good at the forefront.
Yet even being on the same "side" in the fight against :evil" i find it as hard to get through to them as it would be to get Mittens to concede to Obama now. Thanks TC

PS...i couldn't get to this page without going into my PM and clicking from that link, and "noting" is also on the fritz

"Republican wrecking crew in the House remains generally hostile to programs that threaten the hegemony of the oil and gas interests."

++++++++++++++++ Well, gee! No surprise there! These people are in BED with oil companies, big auto companies, bit utilities.....name it!

Tom, I have had to come back several times. But at last, I got your articles. So glad I kept trying. This first article is great, thanks. Of course, the GOP is against anything green except money. Green energy, green voting, green living. Maybe they will try to outlaw green living which is not profitable to those they serve. If they do, I will be very, very angry.

Thanks, Tom for trying to alert us that we need to get out there and vote Democratic, not stay home of vote for a third party.

hostile to programs that threaten the hegemony of the oil and gas interests, well you are looking at their money base, so they have to keep them happy!

This is ridiculous - and American Green Industries will be overtaken by German and Swedish ones (as will the British) and also by the Chinese - who have enough money to take over everything.

As long as the majority keep electing the same people they complain are destroying the planet, these practices will continue.

Another source of clean energy would be to collect the hot air coming out of the Republican/Teabagger dominated Congress. Do that and cut the BIG oil subsidies and invest that same money into renewable clean energy.

Mr Obama's record on the environment might not be the best, but let us not forget that he is only one man who had to deal with a bunch of oil hungry bozos in the Congress --- you know, those obstructionists. I suspect that if he gets a better Congress for his second term, Americans will see more coming regarding clean renewable energy.

This is the party of family values. I guess they don't care what their children will inherit.

Between the Republican stance and Obama adminstration anti-environmental actions, we are doomed.

If we could all for once discard our party allegiance or whatever it is that makes us vote only one of two ways, and get together to elect a third party candidate we could really change this country. We have two good candidates in Rocky and the Green party. Let's pick one and by doing so, take out the trash.

Thanks to all. The 1st comment was to be the 1st paragraph of the article, but C2 buried all new articles for several hours, so I could not make it.

Rocky and the green candidate are good candidates, and I like both, but since Michele Bachmann will become a progressive long before either is elected, voting for them is a vote for Romney.

The Greedy One-Percenters have declared war on the World! They hate the very idea that children & animals don't pay taxes, that women have Any say in Anything, that Foreigners Exist...etc., etc., etc. It's a Scarey, Dark & Smoggy Man's World these RepubliCON's live in... The rich are not like you & I..;)

the only thing evil needs to succeed (other than money and total disregard for the world) ......is the apathetic American voter (or non-voter as the case may be)

I will vote for Obama because he is the lesser of evils, sadly, the lesser of evils is still evil.
He didn't keep his promises.

However I feel Mittens as President would be the worst enemy to the 99% and human rights and dignity in the USA

Green is the colour that represents inconvenience for their majority of voters (if not all) and corporate sponsors... they rather live in the past when the earth was flat...!

I guess those in this sector's campaign donations add up to less than polluters?

It's all part of their sickening plan to remain wealthy and keep us dependent on oil since they are lining their pockets with money they received from some of the biggest polluters and environmental destroyers known to makind. It all fits in with their science doubting and climate change denial not to mention their sickening anti-99%, pro-corporate elitism. It's like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that when put together create an ugly picture and spell trouble for the rest of us. Thanks Tom.
