Willard and the Republican Party have a problem. After they supported such egalitarian policies as Papers Please and self-deportation, after they unanimously voted against the Dream Act, and since they are pandering to racists and nativists for support, they need to cover that all up, they are trying find reason to oppose Obama’s immigration policy that do not highlight the truth their actions have revealed. For the results they deserve a PhD in Bullsh*tilogy. (PhD = Piled Higher and Deeper.)

Shhhh, don't tell anyone, but the number one immigrant group isn't Latino anymore, it's Asian.

I heard this on the news last week & have been waiting for something to be made of it by one of the political parties, but so far I've heard nothing. I'm very curious as to what they will make of this.

"I could be not more pleased that Republicans are doing such an excellent job of alienating Latinos for the sake of pleasing racists and nativists."

++++++++++++++++ Nor I....and don't forget their moves against women! Any woman who votes for a Republican should have her head examined!

I agree with Pam when she says, "Any woman who votes for a Republican should have her head examined!"

Unfortunately, the Republicans simply can't find the money for a woman to get her head examined unless: a) her head is located in her uterus; or b) her uterus is located in her head.

This is amnesty!… The Republican/Teabaggers revere St Ronny (the jelly bean nit wit) yet he too had an "amnesty"

This is the DREAM Act by fiat!… I didn't know that the Dream Act was about owning an Italian made car?!

It’s a power grab!… No, Mr Obama is simply doing the right thing, something that the Republican/Teabaggers can't understand since they only know deceit, larceny and obstruction!

Republicans would have compromised, if only Obama had let them!… Republican/Teabaggers don't have 'compromise' or 'negotiate' in their vocabulary. Notice that the word 'compromise' has the word 'promise' in it and the Republican/Teabaggers don't honour their promises either!

Republicans would compromise, if only Obama secured the border!… There's that damn fence again! Are we just a tad xenophobic Republican/Teabaggers?

Obama had his chance to reform immigration and didn’t make it a priority!… Hard to make anything a priority if there are a bunch of Republican/Teabagger obstructionist rabble on your every move. From Mother Jones "… they are now attacking the president for being unable to overcome their successful obstruction."

Let's hope that the Republican/Teabaggers continue to do what they also do so well — lie! The GOP also should watch because there is another group that is surpassing Latinos in immigration numbers — Asians.

Thanks to all. Kudos to Pam. Republicans are happy to have women's heads examined, as long as it's with transvaginal ultrasounds.

Kathy B. - Asians by and large apply for citizenship. Whether they be Chinese, Korean, or from Indonesia.I hate to burst your bubble.
As for Obama's non-solution immigration plan, I would assume the parents of these children also get citizenship? For over 5 years these people have been paying no taxes, accepting federal subsidies. This seems fair.
Meanwhile, Obama of course, still refuses to address the fundamental problem of border security.
Speaking of borders, Lynn Squance your statement:"Are we just a tad xenophobic Republican/Teabaggers?"was such a ridiculous statement. You think protecting our borders is a party issue? It's an economic issue. Do you have any idea what it is like to teach in Southern Calif., Las Vegas, Southern Arizona?Clearly you don't. The elementary schools in some of these districts are predominately Spanish speaking. My cousin resigned her kindergarten job in Covina, Calif. She had 40 plus students in her class, 80% only spoke Spanish. She had no aid, or interpreter. She literally quit after 2 months.
Do we have an illegal alien problem in this country? For sure. How this became in your mind a xenophobic Republican issue just illustrates how little you know.

Thanks TomCat for the post. Read and noted. The GOP in the last 30+ years HAVE become the party of no. They use deception, half truths, innuendo and outright lies to push their agenda of greed, xenophobia and discrimination of women and minorities. We are a nation of immigrants, even the Native-Americans who came to this continent 14,000+ years ago.

The sides are completely polarized between those who get it and the clueless, and/or selfish wealthy.

I agree also with Pam when she says, "Any woman who votes for a Republican should have her head examined!" And it's true: the U.S. is a nation of immigrants, don't forget this.

Even if here illegally, Allen, these workers DO PAY TAXES. Unless of course someone is paying them under the table. I'll bet you some of these businesses are owned by Republicans who have no problem taking advantage of illegal aliens. But even so when ever these illegals buy ANYTHING, they pay sales tax and enrich the economy. And don't worry about the children, they'll learn English soon enough. And don't worry about your job being taken away, even if it's a backbreaking labor job. Most Americans don't want them. Who do you think picks YOUR vegetables from the supermarket?
I suggest we improve our education system because we are having to bring in qualified Asian immigrants because we don't have enough educated and skilled workers. So instead of the old alien smokescreen, lets concentrate on the REAL ISSUES: the 1% who don't want to pay their fair share in income and Social Security taxes and yet expect to have it ALL. While the rest of the population has to scrimp and save to make it. See the REAL PICTURE FOR A CHANGE.

Thanks to all but the Republicans.

To counter Republican lies, deportations of undocumented immigrants have increased considerably, since Obama took office. In addition, he has more than doubled the size of the Border patrol.
