Jobs, Jobs Jobs is the Republicans’ so-called agenda. And to Republicans Jobs, Jobs, Jobs usually means trying to regulate what takes place between women’s legs. However, on comparatively rare occasions, Jobs, Jobs, Jobs means trying to kill Obamacare. For something with zero chance of success, that’s wasteful of both time and tax dollars. By my estimation, counting today’s vote, fruitless Republican attempts to undo Obamacare have cost taxpayers over $48.5 million.

knew it had to be a repuglicon idea since its another waste of time and money....today, I heard someone arguing that they shouldn't be forced to pay a tax to support someone else's healthcare....but when I asked why am I forced to pay taxes for someone else's wars, no answer.....

Ok.....so yet another political danze macabre (or however its spelled) and still no jobs...sigh. How about we just take their medical insurance (um, that WE all PAY for) away from them and while we are at it, let's take their cushy retirement package away from them and at least HALF their paychecks (they damn sure don't earn it). Sounds good to me, how about the rest of the country? This has been the most USELESS Congress in my lifetime. USELESS.

Another waste of time and taxers money, The GOP is not concerned about any ones health care they do not have a replacement all they want to do is try and make the President look bad, They are the jokers in their dog and pony show.

I also heard one of them say that if they can't repeal health care act they will try to cut the funding. I don't understand what their problem is. They DON'T HAVE AN ALTERNATIVE PLAN, have had years to come up with one but they won't respect our system of Democracy that has come up WITH A VIABLE PLAN. These people are either totally irresponsible, insane or such frothing at the mouth racists that they are willing to sacrifice peoples lives rather than have an African American President get the credit for ANY thing. This is a TRULY DESPICABLE situation. The Greedy One Percent has a SEVERE waterfowl alignment problem (they need to get their ducks in a row). They had better start SERVING THE NATION or GET OUT.

Boehner — "I promised the American people on opening day of this Congress that this would never be about us. Our Congress would be about listening to the American people and following their will. …"

Boehner lied! From day one it has only been about making Mr Obama a one term president. The only American people that catch Boehner's ear are the 1% and corporations!

Mr Boehner quit wasting money on frivolous votes and get down to some constructive business for the good of ALL Americans.

"What is most obscene about this is that the money Republicans have wasted on this political theater could have paid a year’s average salaries for 1,156 firefighters, 967 police officers, or 890 high school teachers."

I couldn't agree more. The GOP knows how to waste more money, and then they have the audacity to cry foul because the defense budget has to be cut; or they accuse Mr Obama of out of control spending even though his spending has increased 1.4% which is lower than the inflation rate (and the rates of all previous presidents back to Reagan); or they make up bogus figures about tax increases and the environment. The list goes on.

The only good Republican/Teabagger is the one in the unemployment line! I sometimes wonder if a Republican/Teabagger who fell on really bad times and lost all his income and assets, would apply for unemployment benefits or welfare?

Vote Democratic 2012!!!!! Vote Obama/Biden 2012!!!!!

What they don't say is that they already closed Our loop-hole by making it Much more costly to take bankruptcy to get rid of ungodly high medical debt - so this is just icing on Their Cake.. which WE can't eat..:(

As if there wasn't already too much time and taxpayer money being wasted! It's easy for them to spend their time and OUR money on trivial pursuits because thanks to we the people, the 99% they look down on and scorn, not to mention the GOP's pro-corporate interests and general greed, they have all the healthcare, ease of living and financial resources they and their families will ever need. Things are looking pretty good on easy street, meanwhile on main street...

Thanks Tom.

They have no alternative to offer. Their only interest is to get Obama out of office.

TC, concur that it is a waste of tax dollars but why does the Democrat controlled Senate stop being obstructionist and simply call the thing to a vote? Is Harry and his group of merry men afraid that it might pass? Seems to me that "the party of no" label fits the Senate in this case.

Thanks to almost all. To have the Senate vote on it would just waste more tome and money. Even if it passed, it would have no chance to override Obama's veto.

Why do they not view their waste as waste as they decry waste?

Is anybody watching "The Newsroom"? They have raked the Koch brothers over the coals along with several senators and they've pointed out to the Tea Party that they are being financed and encouraged by the GOP.

I hated the idea of forcing people to buy health care so the stupid insurance companies can profit more then I read the we are the only country that does not do something similar. Here is the article:

Great link Sam. When I first heard Americans crowing about moving to Canada to avoid Obamacare, I started laughing because we have sociaised medicine, and while not perfect, no one is without. Some Americans crow about wait times in Canada, but what about all the Americans that don't have any access to health insurance? Some will say that they can go to the emergency room, but at $3,000 a visit (a figure I recently read) that is not cost effective nor efficient. If someone with 'cold or flu' goes to emergency for example, it takes away from real emergencies like car accident victims or heart attacks. That person would be better served in a doctor's office for the most part. Many Canadians, well at least around me, will go to their doctor or a walk-in clinic first.

As I said, no programme is perfect, can't be because there are just too many people to satisfy, and factors to consider. But think about this: What is more important --- affordable care for ALL, or holding to an ideology that is incapable of caring about anything?

Personally, I'll take affordable care! Support Obamacare and then help him to make it better!

Thanks TomCat and Lynn! I sent that article to just about everyone I knew including the few republican friends that I have too! My one friend from high school is a republican (I have always viewed her as self defeating) and I will send her stuff because we had a talk that in order to be properly informed you must know BOTH sides and that goes for me as well. I always vote democrat, but I want all illegals that don't speak English out of here and I want English to be our official language and a requirement, so I am not always democrat in my views and frankly I think it is very unhealthy to always agree with one party. We must be properly informed! I hope that more people that are against Obamacare read that article and know exactly what they are complaining about! You don't have to agree with me, but at least be properly informed when you disagree! :)

"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." --- Albert Einstein

"Stupid is as stupid does." --- Forrest Gump

I guess John Boehner and House Republican/Teabaggers haven't heard of Albert Einstein or Forrest Gump. Pity because they are such incredible philosophers.

These idiots, for what the 33rd time, have brought up a vote to repeal Obamacare! A total waste of money and time! Get on with the business of the country like JOBS!

Thanks all.

Sam, most of my life I have been an Independent. I became a Democrat only because Republicans have regressed so far, and third party candidates are wasted votes.

I am 39 and have been a democrat since the Regan era and the Iran Contras scandal because these people claim to be based on moral values and I hate hypocrites!!! Democrats talk about helping the poor and middle class and that is what they do in comparison to the republicans. Not perfect, but better. Perfect does not exist.

I agree Sam. It's not the lesser of two evils. There's one imperfect, but still fairly good and one evil.
