The Republican War on Women goes on, but we’ll get to that in a bit. There is another war that gets far less attention, despite deserving far more. It’s the Democratic War on Women’s Health Issues, and today is a blue letter day. Those who cling to the destructive myth that there is no difference between the parties need to take note of this.

We still have the right wing religious radicals fighting contraception. Funny how they don't want women to get free birth control, but it is OK for men to get free ED meds. There is a company in Denver asking for an exception to providing birth control to women because the owner is Catholic!!! A judge is having difficulty with this one! I hope this does not work - this is a secular business, not a religious one,so they really have no standing. Justa male owner, of course, who says it violates his religion. Wonder how many employess are practicing birth control. A lot of Catholics are! Wonder if Catholic women will admit this in order to get their birth control meds free.

not sure why any woman, minority, non-millionaire, non-Christian radical or thinking being would vote for the Greedy Obstructing Poisoning pollution, anti-woman, anti-peace, party.........

I got to see Michelle Obama in person today and she covered the health care issue and women's rights. The clear message is: IF YOU WANT TO MOVE FORWARD, VOTE OBAMA!!!!! If you want to backslide into no progress, vote Repub. What an easy choice! OBAMA 2012!!!!! By the way, Michelle was GREAT!!!!! A very classy person!!!
This is a BLUE letter day, today begins one of more important parts of the Affordable Health Care Act. Women can finally have needed services covered. Though while this is wonderful, we should think about the many that can not afford $5,000. a year in insurance. This needs to go! Why does the United States have to be the last hold-out on medical care being a natural right for all citizens? Oh yeah, because of back ward and stupid thinking by republicans.

Thanks TomCat for the post. I'm voting for Obama and working my butt off for all the Democratic candidates. Just maybe a single payer plan might still be in the offing. I think the world of Brenie the Beloved true progressive. Read and note.

Thanks TC. Every vote counts - and a non-vote is a vote for the GOP! Even if democracy is flawed - it is still the best system we have - and the flawed bits in it are the result of human nature - if we all took a responsible part in the world, it would be ..... Heaven!
