We all know that Willard’s tax plan appears custom designed to allow Willard to pay the lowest, possible rate, far lower than most middle class taxpayers. Willard is not alone. Raul Ryan’s tax plan is equally self-serving. Part of the $45 billion we would give oil companies in corporate welfare, lands squarely in Ryan’s own pocket.

A vote for RR boys, is a vote for further destruction of our home, Earth, and there is no other options for places for life....

OIL,GAS and COAL - portends further doom and gloom for the world. Don't allow these worshipers of corruption and destruction to sway you with charming incantations of prosperity.

"Part of the $45 billion we would give oil companies in corporate welfare, lands squarely in Ryan’s own pocket." To be fair, being a RepubliCON requires you take a cut of all Oil related perks (including War Profiteering!;)..GOP=Greasy Oil Perks!

There are alternatives to oil and coal and gas that will create jobs here. Lets get the stinkin' energy corporations out of our lives, and get the new energy businesses going that use clean and natural sources like the sun and the wind, not to mention "free" energy that is discussed in the movie Thrive: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEV5AFFcZ-s

Lets force the release of patents for clean technologies that the dirt bags have held up. Ryan is nothing but a tool, as is Romney, and both are 2 of the biggest lying hypocrites in the world.

The sad thing is that if this country actually had the will to do it, without the obstruction from congress, we COULD become energy independent with clean renewable energy within 4 years. This country had that will and capability during World War 2. We had the industrial capacity to out produce Germany and Japan combined. We produced ships and planes so fast that the enemy could not sink or shoot them down fast enough. We overwhelmed the enemy into defeat. Now our enemy is dirty, expensive, and dangerous energy. We could out produce and defeat this enemy too. What stands in our way is a bought congress and greedy energy companies. If we had roughly 4 to 5 total square miles of solar cells spread around the country, we could power this country. It's a big project, but quite possible and much cheaper than a World War or the future cost of dirty energy.

SEC is supposed to announce rules for transparency on extraction industries (oil, gas, mining) in other countries on August 22, 2012.

Big Oil sure gets a big return on the money it invests in our Congressmen! "Unfortunately, a lot of it comes out of our tax dollars in the form of subsidies. Like all politicians from either party who accept handouts from Big Oil, Ryan is little more than a slave to his corporate masters. To make matters worse, he happens to have a personal conflict of interest going on as well. He ought to be ashamed of the fact that, as the article states, “he and his wife, Janna, own stakes in four family companies that lease land in Texas and Oklahoma to the very energy companies that benefit from the tax subsidies in Ryan’s budget plan.” I don't know whether or not that's legal, but it certainly isn't ethical! We've been signing petitions to remove Clarence Thomas from the Supreme Court for his personal conflicts of interests, also involving his wife. Is this any different?

Thanks for posting this important article, Tom!

I wish I could say that was a surprise - yes it was news, but their corruption and greed know no bounds.

Cree Prophecy:
When all the trees have been cut down,
When all the animals have been hunted,
When all the waters are polluted,
When all the air is unsafe to breathe,
Only then will you discover
You cannot eat money.

Chief Seattle, 1854
Humankind has not woven the web of life.
We are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.
All things are bound together.
All things connect.

Right on Terrie, I agree. They are bought and paid for by these billionaire people and corporations. Making the country into THE UNITED CORPORATIONS OF AMERICA. Get used to being a "serf" or "peasant" (just like old England. Everything will be owned by a few, and the rest of US common people will be the slaves. That's part of the GOP platform I'm sure. I like to think of them as GREEDY OLD PRI*KS and I might add, rich white men to that.

Right to lifers...I have a wake up call for you.
What's the point of saving the unborn when you destine them to a polluted life full of your unfair ,rich white men club only rules?. We all know the unborn lives they "care about" are not the minorities...they just don't want to pay for it,it's not like their CONSCIENCES ARE SO BOTHERED BY IT...bunch of greedy hypocrites.
