When the fascist five ignored the Constitution to unleash unlimited Corporate election spending, part of their logic was both that it is speech, and that candidates will not be corrupted, because the Super PACS are forbidden to cooperate with campaigns. Now, having seen over and over again, that the Republican Party views rules as restrictions that OTHER people have to follow, I never had the slightest doubt that Republicans are scamming the system. However, I had no idea how they were doing it… until now.

How many corporate layers of subcontractors and/or subsidiaries does it take to become non-direct contact/coordination/legally permitted? Apparently someone's lawyers said just least let it require the shells ponzi schemes require to stay hidden puleeze!

Don't you know that this is another convenient lie put out by the Obama Administration? His regime is the regime of LIES and not Truth. Poor Barry Hussein couldn't even speak at the debate because he had no teleprompter where the words he speaks are written for him by another more intelligent person. But what Barry says, never comes to be nor is it the truth. It's what people want to hear. Barry doesn't do ANYTHING for America!

Supposedly legal for Bu$h Leaguers to LIE us into wars & bankrupt the country too, but they WILL pay for it eventually! Hopefully by becoming extinct...."But it’s perfectly legal for them to hire the same company to run Internet ads. That company uses some of the same employees to represent the two clients, and the same databases to store information on people it will target with ads.
By all accounts, Romney’s campaign and the group spending millions of dollars on his behalf are not violating the law that prohibits campaigns and independent organizations from coordinating their efforts."

Thanks Tom for the post. The GOP looks to find ways to bend or break the rules and they will continue until we the people vote them out of office with grassroots activism. @ Dave C. you are so right. Green star coming your way.

All the lies, maneuverings, dollars, threats, even murders that they have committed and may commit will never be enough for them to hold onto the power they are addicted to. Every heinous act they have committed in the past, and are contemplating to commit, are going to end now because there are way more of us watching them and seeing all they do than there are of them, hanging onto the strings of the power slipping through their greasy fingers. They are losing everything, finally, because they invested everything they have in a failed system of lies and deceit in order to take it all for themselves and just for the sake of having and hoarding just like the lizard dragons of lore.

Until this heinous ruling is reversed, no election will be free. We have been bought and sold. The amount of money spent on this campaign could have helped reverse the national debt. It sickens me.

I am sure that all the Republican/Teabagger supporting Super PACs are interlaced in so many nefarious ways with the political campaigns. And certainly, to expect them to play by the "rules" as the SCOTUS supposed, is like asking fleas not to attack a dog!

I recently saw a video — Tom Hartmann interviewing Greg Palast about his book "Billionaires and Ballot Bandits". Here is a short 'blurb' from the GuelphMercury (Guelph, Ontario)

Books in brief: Billionaires & Ballot Bandits, by Greg Palast

Billionaires & Ballot Bandits: How to Steal An Election in 9 Easy Steps, by Greg Palast with comics by Ted Rall (Seven Stories Press, 300 pages, $14.95 softcover)
One reads the reporting of U.S. investigative journalist Greg Palast with mouth hanging open, unable to believe that mainstream news services aren’t reporting on the kinds of skulduggery he regularly digs up.
In this timely primer he explains the efforts that are being used by shady political operatives (remember Karl Rove?) to prevent unfriendly demographics from casting votes, and to not count their votes when cast.
Palast and comic artist Ted Rall describe a criminal conspiracy so vast it’s hard to believe in, but then show that it’s already been in operation for over a decade now.
This is an eye-opening expose of America’s “managed democracy.”

Not only is there a Super PAC scam, but there are all the other ways the Republican/Teabaggers are ripping off the citizens of the US. I wish I could remember where the video was because it is well worth watching.

It is so important to vote so that the disgusting turn of events called Citizens United can eventually be turned around.

Get out the vote!!!!!

Vote Democratic 2012!!!!! Vote Obama/Biden 2012!!!!!

Noted. And also noted that June Marshall has no profile, has 395 friends and is an Obama basher. Troll?

Thanks to all but one. Note that the Republican parrots her party line without documentation, unlike my article.

Do not feed the trolls.

Noted & thanks for posting, Tom. Move to Amend is working to apply pressure to Congress to nullify Citizens United with an amendment. They are making some headway and are quite active. If we can get a more progressive Congress in the next term, I think we have a shot at this.
