Today I found Bill Maher's New Rules for you at Crooks and Liars. This one contains an F bomb or two, so take whatever precautions, if any, are appropriate to your surroundings. As always, Bill is hilarious. Sadly, it also contains some bad news.

Maher makes good sense in a humorous way. Many don't like the use of the four letter words and pretend that no one ever uses them.
I don't understand why so many people are shocked when public figures do the same things for sex as people with far less power or no power at all I should say.

What's the "bad news," Tom?

*sigh* Real Time with Bill Maher is on hiatus now through January 18, 2013. As always when the show is on vacation Bill will be missed. If you want to see the full show, it is available online. Bill is but one more in a line of comedians that brings us some smiles about every thing from social issues, war and elections.

Thanks TomCat, I didn't mind hearing "New Rules" from Friday night all over again, laughing out loud.
My thanks also to Bill Maher one very funny man.

ThankX TomCat. My heart sinks every time Bill goes on hiatus as he is a comfortable guest in my home! Michael Moore hit it out of the park too.

when confronted with people assuring you something is truth despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary, sometimes humor such as Maher provides is the only viable solution

Thanks Tom for the marvelous video. What more can you say about Maher other than he "profanely tells it like it is" and hits all the relevant topics correctly, Watched and noted.

Thanks for posting, Tom---although I saw this Fri. night, I watched again and still applauded and laughed. This was a great way to end his season. I'd noticed that he was "taking it easy" on Obama recently, and I knew why, so it was a relief to hear him attack the swollen Defense budget, ask for a "surprise retreat" from Afghanistan, and request a rewrite, (or. elimination) of the Patriot Act. That he had Michael Moore on this show was icing on the cake.

The thing that amazed me about Friday's show was that he may have found the only 2 moderate RFepublicans alive.

He always makes a good point when he lays it on our politicians. Yes, now is the time for Obama to do the things he promised he would do the first time around.

Maher is so funny, cussing and all! So many of his points were spot on ó rewriting Patriot Act etc. I actually find the profanity he used to be appropriate in this context because it adds to the humour.

Thanks again for this!

Love that guy. He always says it like it is. Best logical brain around and also very funny
But I didn't get the bad news?

Thanks everyone. The bad news is that he's gone until January.

On the profanity, I have no problem with it, but posted the warning, because there are times ans places where it's not appropriate.

Wonderful clip - thanks TC! I can't see myself disagreeing with him on politics, but was glad for the heads up about the language on one occasion(!). Shame he will be gone so long - but I was glad to hear he supported President Obama with finance as well as words - and he is right to criticise him where he does.

Thanks for posting the clip, Tom. I watch him faithfully and record in case I am not home. Saved this last one to watch while he is on hiatus, you know, when I need a laugh. His panel was great too. Didn't so much like the Republican chick~~surprise. surprise.

I certainly agree with what Bill Maher said on Obama, you don't have to run for re-election, now lets get pushing on what us progressives have been wanting. You pushed me to a 3rd Party this time with the NDAA and keeping the Patriot Act along with the lackluster move to a cleaner economy, when I heard "clean coal" being spoken by you, I said "oh oh, we are not going to progress to far with him at the helm". I left a lot faster then many Democrats who did stick by the side of you and the Party, please DON'T disappoint them and DO surprise me.
