Enjoyed the comments made by this writer from the Washington Post article of "Taxing the Rich Remains Popular"

Don’t fall for the mewings from the Fiscal Cliff Lemmings.

"This “Fiscal Cliff” is nothing more than a right wing scare tactic. There is nothing that cannot be corrected retroactively by “honest brokers”. Make the Republicans perform as honest brokers rather than allow them to take the budget hostage like they have with all four budget proposals President Obama has offered. In four years they have only voted on the President’s proposals twice. It is the responsibility of the House to craft and pass a budget, NOT the President. The President can only make recommendations. "

"Let ALL the Bush Tax Cuts expire. Then propose retroactive tax cuts for the $250,000 or less taxpayers. That would provide a tax cut to 99% of Small Businesses and individuals. Then we’ll see how serious the Republicans are about their “Holy Grail” of tax cuts. If they don’t support it then they will be proven to be hypocrites. "

"Enact ALL the Sequestered budget cuts. The Republicans agreed to them figuring they could bully the Super Committee. They failed. Don’t let them renege on their agreement. We already have a military budget larger than the combined budgets of the next ten countries. Do we really need one larger than the next twelve? "

"Then accelerate the withdrawal from Afghanistan and use the money (that is spent every day on that fiasco) to do some “nation building” here in America. "

"After that Congress will be in the position to make Republicans come to the table with viable options, not just dogma. The Republicans have already admitted there were numerous corporate write-offs and subsidies in the tax code that needed to be corrected…let’s work on those in 2013 too. "

Comment lost! Darn.

Let's see how many will jump ship. It's time these people dumped Norquist and honored the United States. That is United. Get busy boys and girls.

Puzzle — 3:13 This body does not run! Speed walk, yes, but the sand is tough for a speed walker. Throws the gait off!

MoveOn — "…aliens come and they take over the Capitol. … another 'Independence Day' …" — Isn't that what the Republican/Teabaggers are trying to do, only their's is not part of the Hollywood schtick? And here I thought they didn't believe in science. Now who knew that an astrophysicist would be so funny, learned, and personable, able to explain things in laymen's terms. This is a great clip!

Washington Post — I saw a clip earlier this week I think, or maybe last weekend, showing a Teabagger, unemployed, using food stamps and Medicaid, but still adamant that he should worship at the altar of the Tea Party. Someone does not understand what is happening! He can't even see what is in his best interest. This fellow belongs to the 59% and has been watching Faux Noise and sipping to much insaniTea.

Daily Kos — Just do it!

Cartoon — Before partitioning, that whole area was known as Palestine and the people there, Muslims and Jews, were Palestinians. After partitioning, Palestinian Muslims had so much more space, although fragmented a bit. After how many wars, the people we now call Palestinians have less land and the fight is still going on. It is past time to beat those swords into plough shares, recognise both groups as having a right to exist, and come to a just settlement — just for both groups.

Back in 1947 the Palestinians rejected a two state proposal which led to the partitioning. At least four wars and this many years later, Israel is acting/living beyond the borders created by the UN and the Palestinians have now been granted observer nation status. I am disappointed that the US objects and believe it can and will lead to more productive talks and peaceful solution/borders.
