Time 3:39 - tough puzzle

Take away my citizenship - I never have cared much for our "National Anthem" it's awkward and celebrates war and barbarity. Give me the Purple Mountains, fields of grain and sea to shining sea. Just sayin'....

Time 3:56....tough one indeed Kit.
I watched the basketball post earlier this week...it bought a tear to my eye and, like you, restored my faith in humanity!
Take care and thanks TC.

Thanks Tom for the post, video and links to the full articles..

MoveOn: WHAT an marvelous Video! Definitely a inspirational tear starter for me.

LA Times article by Seema Mehta: Unless the Democrats fall flat on their faces the GOP in California haven't got a chance to put forth any type of electable candidate.

Council for the National Interest: Yeah right! Once the sequester is finally dealt with I would love to see the grants package cut to 2 million not 3 billion as it now stands.

Cartoon: Kit I'm with you on the national anthem!

Read, viewed and noted.

Puzzle 4:02 I am not at Chez TC nor Chez Patty. I can talk the talk, but I can't walk this walk.

MoveOn Would some please, oh please send this to the Republican/Teabaggers in Congress. This is how real life is supposed to be played.

LA Times People are sick of the Republican/Teabagger bull shit. If they could get by their mendacious proclivities and start listening to the American people instead of the American billionaires, banksters, corporations, and the fanatical, evangelical right, then maybe they might have a chance to rebuild. But quite frankly, I doubt they can do that because they keep listening to people like Rove.

Council for the National Interest So the AIPAC lobby thinks that the commitment to Israel should supercede the commitment to America's own people, mostly the small and the least? What a bunch of sanctimonious, ego centric and uncaring toadies! No in any language you want to say it is still the same NO!

Cartoon Interesting that a country that is 237 years old did not officially have a national anthem until 1931. It was a popular song prior to that and competed with other.

Agree about the National Anthem. I like America The Beautiful also. Too embarrassed to post my scores on the puzzles, but it is fun doing them.

Thanks all. I echo your sentiments, as I would have preferred America the Beautiful
